Re: LES CHAINES ÉNERGÉTIQUES ET L'ENSEIGNEMENT

MONTREAL (AP) — It was only a matter of time before Tampa Bay’s Steven Stamkos returned to his goal-scoring ways.Stamkos scored twice to lead the Lightning to a 4-1 victory over the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday night. The Lightning’s captain had been held scoreless in six games this season and had scored just two goals.“Any time you score and help your team win Brandon Saad Jersey , it’s great,” Stamkos said after his first multi-goal game of the season. “Obviously tonight was a big bounce-back game for our team, for our line.“Any time you can produce in a win, in an atmosphere like this, it’s icing on the cake.”J.T. Miller and Yanni Gourde also scored for the Lightning, winners of nine of 13 games this season. Anton Stralman had three assists.Andrei Vasilevskiy continued his dominant start in the nets, finishing with 34 saves in his seventh victory.Max Domi scored the only goal for the Canadiens. Carey Price made 32 saves in the loss. The Lightning improved to 6-0-0 against Eastern Conference opponents this season. The Canadiens jumped to an early lead when Domi scored on the game’s first shot just 58 seconds in.Domi intercepted a clearing attempt by former Canadiens draft pick Mikhail Sergachev at the blue line, sidestepped a check by Adam Erne and then fired a wrist shot past Vasilevskiy for his seventh goal of the season.“He’s one of the best goalies in the league, but you need to create traffic to get one by him,” said Domi, who has points in eight of his last nine games. “We didn’t do enough of that tonight. He played his game, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t score on him when he’s playing his game. We have to do a better job of going to dirty areas.“We didn’t do that tonight.”It was the third time this season Domi scored in the first two minutes of a game. After intense pressure by the Canadiens at the start, a boarding penalty by Nicolas Deslauriers changed the game’s momentum. The Lightning scored as Deslauriers’s penalty expired. Stamkos beat Price with a one-timer at 13:42 of the first.Miller made it 2-1 at 16:24 after a midair interception by Stralman gave Tampa Bay the puck in Montreal’s zone.Following a scoreless second period Brent Seabrook Jersey Kids , Stamkos added to Tampa’s lead 52 seconds into the third with a precise wrist shot into the top of the net. It was his first multi-goal game of the season.“I’m trying to get back that shooting mentality,” Stamkos said. “Obviously, when you get one early in the game, you’re feeling more confident. Funny how that happens. I got the puck in the slot and knew where I wanted to go.“That one felt good. I hadn’t shot a puck like that and felt that release in a while.”The Lightning are 3-0-0 this season when Stamkos scores.“He’s a natural goal scorer,” said 21-year-old Lightning winger Mathieu Joseph. “You see it every time. What a shot he has. He’s dangerous every time he takes a shot.”Just one day after signing a six-year contract with the Lightning, Gourde added an insurance goal with 4:03 remaining as he swatted a loose puck in the crease across the goal line.Montreal finished 0-for-4 with the man advantage. Montreal has not scored a power-play goal in its last 15 opportunities. The Lightning have won five of their last six games against the Canadiens.NOTES: Montreal’s Phillip Danault played his 200th NHL game. . Canadiens forward Paul Byron (lower-body injury) did not play. He’s expected to miss at least two more games. . Montreal defenseman Karl Alzner was a healthy scratch for the ninth time this season.UP NEXTLightning: At Ottawa on Sunday night.Canadiens: Against the Islanders at the Barclays Center on Monday. LAS VEGAS (AP) Prior to Monday’s trade deadline, Vegas fans were hoping to pry two-time Norris Trophy winner Erik Karlsson from the Ottawa Senators. After Friday night, they probably can’t wait to see him leave town.Karlsson had three assists, including one to Alexandre Burrows on his third-period winner, to lift Ottawa over the Golden Knights 5-4.Burrows, in his first game back from a 10-game suspension, redirected Karlsson’s slap shot from the point shortly after a pair of Vegas goals tied it at 4. Bobby Ryan also had a goal and two assists for Ottawa.Vegas has lost three straight and fallen to second in the Western Conference behind Nashville after briefly sitting atop the NHL standings. It is the expansion team’s third three-game losing streak of the season. The Golden Knights have never lost four in a row.The Senators, meanwhile Youth Corey Crawford Jersey , snapped a five-game skid and improved to 8-18-5 on the road this season. Ottawa also got goals from Mark Stone, Matt Duchene and Jean-Gabriel Pageau.”We came out with great jump,” Karlsson said. ”Our legs were definitely there today, and we were making sure that we made the necessary plays under tight pressure.”Ottawa outshot Vegas 38-29, becoming just the 10th team to outshoot the Golden Knights on their home ice.Craig Anderson notched his 18th win by stopping 25 shots. Marc-Andre Fleury had 33 saves for Vegas.”We wanted to make sure we weren’t going to get outworked by a very hard-working team. That was our number one priority,” Ottawa coach Guy Boucher said. ”Our players took this very seriously.”After opening the season 19-2-2 at home, the Golden Knights are 5-5 in their last 10 in Las Vegas. The Golden Knights got goals from Reilly Smith, Colin Miller, William Karlsson and Ryan Carpenter.Outside of Vegas’ top line of Smith, Karlsson and Jonathan Marchessault, it was clear the Golden Knights were missing forwards James Neal and Pierre-Edouard Bellemare and defensemen Nate Schmidt and Luca Sbisa.Neal, Sbisa and Schmidt were gameday scratches, while Bellemare remains on the injured reserve list.”It doesn’t matter if you’re missing skilled guys or talented guys Womens Duncan Keith Jersey ,” Vegas coach Gerard Gallant said. ”We got out-competed tonight.”Smith was named the NHL’s Third Star for February after ranking fourth in the league with 20 points in 14 games. He got his 22nd goal just 58 seconds into the game to give the Golden Knights a 1-0 lead.Stone, who leads the Senators with 24 points on the road, tied it less than two minutes later when he took Ryan’s pass in front of the crease and slipped it past Fleury. With Vegas on the power play, Miller’s wrist shot from the point at the 18:22 mark gave the Golden Knights a 2-1 lead, despite the Pacific Division leaders getting just three shots on goal over the first 20 minutes. The second period was all Ottawa. It knotted the game at 2-all when Stone fired an outlet pass from the bottom of the right circle of his own zone to a streaking Ryan for a breakaway goal.Duchene scored a power-play goal through traffic, and Pageau potted a one-timer four minutes later for a 4-2 lead.William Karlsson brought the Golden Knights back when he converted a turnover into his 35th goal of the season. Moments later, it appeared Vegas’ Erik Haula may have tied it, but a rebound off the post bounced away from the line and ended up under Anderson’s pads.Instead, with 12:03 left, Carpenter used a nifty deke to get around Ryan Dzingel and shot through the five-hole to tie it.NOTES: Vegas owns a 26-5-1 record when scoring the first goal, and its .838 win percentage when recording the opening mark leads the NHL. But the Golden Knights have lost three straight after scoring first. … Smith is two goals from 100 in his career. … Ryan is four points shy of 500.UP NEXTOttawa: Visits Arizona on Saturday.Vegas: Opens a five-game road trip at New Jersey on Sunday.—

BUFFALO Nikita Kucherov Jersey , N.Y. (AP) Defenseman Will Borgen is skipping his senior season at St. Cloud State after signing a three-year entry level contract with the Buffalo Sabres.Borgen’s contract with the Sabres won’t kick in until next season. He will finish this year playing for Buffalo’s minor-league affiliate in Rochester, New York, after agreeing to sign an amateur tryout contract. The deal was reached Sunday, three days after Borgen’s season ended when the top-ranked Huskies lost 4-1 to Air Force in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.Borgen was selected by Buffalo in the fourth round of the 2015 draft. The 21-year-old had two goals and 15 points in 36 games this season, and named the National College Hockey Conference’s defensive defenseman of the year.Overall, Borgen had five goals and 36 assists in 106 games. From Moorhead Ondrej Palat Jersey , Minnesota, he was one of four collegians selected to the United States Olympic team roster, though he did not appear in a game at South Korean Winter Games last month. In January, Borgen won a bronze medal representing the U.S. at the World Junior hockey championship, which was held in Buffalo.— COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) The Philadelphia Flyers were glad to finally end their long losing streak in Columbus.Sean Couturier scored 1:52 into overtime to lift the Flyers to a 2-1 victory Friday night Ryan Callahan Jersey , snapping a stretch of 11 consecutive losses on the Blue Jackets‘ home ice.Wayne Simmonds also scored for Philadelphia, and Michael Neuvirth – filling in for the injured Brian Elliott – stopped 35 shots to pick up his eighth win of the season. The Flyers’ streak in Columbus dated back to 2005.Article continues below ...”It’s a long time … that feels like an eternity,” Simmonds said. ”We had a strong team effort tonight, and the boys showed up.”Cam Atkinson tied it for Columbus late in the third period, and Sergei Bobrovsky finished with 23 saves in the Blue Jackets’ first overtime loss this season.Columbus was held to 36 shots after getting at least 50 in each of their last three games – wins against New Jersey (50) and at the New York Islanders (51) and a loss at Toronto (57).”We played two teams prior to this that didn’t play with much structure (and) gave us a lot of ice to play on,” Blue Jackets coach John Tortorella said. ”This was a structure team. We have to learn to play against a team that plays with structure. We’re going to have to play against teams that check tighter and tighter as each game goes by here.”After a scoreless first period http://www.officiallightningprostore.co … agh-jersey , the Flyers got on the board when Simmonds redirected Shayne Gostisbehere’s shot from the left hash mark and sneaked the puck through Bobrovsky’s legs for his 20th at 11:25.Atkinson tied it with about 3 1/2 minutes left in regulation, as he buried the rebound from a wrister by David Savard.”Really, this is a do or die for us right now,” Atkinson said. ”All these points are so crucial. We can’t allow ourselves to take our foot off the gas pedal.”I thought the third period we gained momentum. We started playing the way we are used to.(and found) a way to get a point, which is big, but we need to get 2.”The Flyers moved past New Jersey into third place in the Metropolitan Division Womens Steven Stamkos Jersey , two points behind second-place Pittsburgh.Columbus moved into a tie with Carolina, one point behind the New York Islanders – who beat the Hurricanes 3-0 to take over the second wild card spot in the Eastern Conference.NOTES: The Blue Jackets activated Sonny Milano off injured reserve Friday and assigned him to Cleveland of the AHL. … The Flyers have earned points in every game played since the Eagles won the Super Bowl, going 5-0-1. … Neuvirth recorded his third career victory against Columbus. … Philadelphia will host Columbus next Thursday and again on March 15.UP NEXTFlyers: At the New York Rangers on Sunday.Blue Jackets: Host Pittsburgh on Sunday

LAS VEGAS (AP) Marc-Andre Fleury gave Blake Wheeler quite an earful.During a scrum behind Vegas’ net with 2:34 left in the second period of the Golden Knights‘ 4-2 victory over Winnipeg on Wednesday night Jacob Markstrom Jersey , Fleury reached over with his left hand and tickled the left ear of the Jets‘ unsuspecting Blake Wheeler .”I did that?” said a playful Fleury, who also made 33 saves in the win. ”There’s cameras everywhere.”There sure are – and video of the ear tickle quickly became a big hit on social media.”I was just sitting there and people, they were fighting,” Fleury said, ”and (I was) trying to have a little smile by myself. That was it.”Wheeler, whose helmet was off and had his back to the goalie, somehow seemed unfazed by the, well, ”eary” feeling. The Jets forward, who was draped over the back of the net Markus Granlund Jersey , didn’t even turn to look behind him to see who was responsible for the tickle as he continued yapping at Vegas players while getting himself back onto his skates. The Golden Knights lead the Western Conference final series 2-1, and host Game 4 on Friday night.Oh, and Wheeler might want to keep his ears clear of Fleury’s frolicking fingers.— EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (AP) — Willie Desjardins realizes the Los Angeles Kings have more than enough time to turn around their dismal start to the season. The interim head coach still wants his Kings to play as if their season and their jobs are on the line in early November.Desjardins ran an energetic practice Monday to begin his tenure with the Kings, who fired John Stevens and assistant coach Don Nachbaur on Sunday in a shakeup of the struggling club. Desjardins didn’t promise any magic solutions to the Kings’ woes, but he plans to impress urgency upon his new players.“I think the theme we had was that we can’t wait,” Desjardins said. “You only have so many years that you have a chance to win, and you’ve got to win now. The easy road would be to say that we can’t do it this season. You can’t afford to waste a season, because you never know what’s going to happen. It’s the same with me. I didn’t know if I would get another shot at the NHL, so this is my chance. I’ve got to make it work http://www.canucksshoponline.com/authen … tto-jersey , and that’s the same message to the players.“You’ve got to find a way to make this season work. What exactly it is, we’ve got to find out.”Desjardins didn’t land his first NHL head coaching job until he was 57 years old, leading the Vancouver Canucks from 2014-17. After taking the young Canadian national team to Olympic bronze medals last February, he returned home to Medicine Hat, Alberta, and started a hockey school.General manager Rob Blake abruptly called him last week with the chance to take over the struggling Kings, who haven’t returned to the heights they reached during their Stanley Cup championship seasons in 2012 and 2014. Los Angeles still has a wealth of top-end NHL players, including defenseman Drew Doughty, captain Anze Kopitar, forward Jeff Carter and goalie Jonathan Quick Sam Gagner Jersey , who is injured. After the Canucks fired him, Desjardins didn’t want to return to the NHL as an assistant coach. He was thrilled to get another chance to be a head coach with a team possessing as much talent as the Kings — even if his current contract only lasts until the end of this season.“Coming in here, it’s a great situation,” Desjardins said. “I think there’s lots to work with. Sometimes you have situations where you don’t have much of a chance to be successful. They’ve got a lot of good pieces here. There’s some really quality people within this team, some high-end guys.”The Kings are in a funk at 4-8-1 heading into their Freeway Faceoff showdown with the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday night. Desjardins said he can’t immediately shake up the Kings’ playing style, so he will lean on assistant coach Dave Lowry as he attempts to get better results from the same players and largely the same schemes used under Stevens for now.“It’s hard, because one of the big things you need from players and coaches, you’ve got to have some trust,” Desjardins said. “And trust is gained over time, but we don’t have time for that. You’ve got to trust each other right now. That’s harder to do Sven Baertschi Jersey , but we’ve got to do it.”Blake sharply criticized his players’ competitiveness and determination while firing Stevens. The veteran Kings didn’t disagree with their boss after their first workout under Desjardins.“It’s rather apparent that you can’t be successful in this league, or in life in general, if you don’t have the emotion and the passion,” Kings defenseman Alec Martinez said. “That’s what we’ve learned this week.”Carter was particularly dismayed by the players’ role in the departure of Stevens, who also was his coach in Philadelphia before Stevens was fired during the 2008-09 season.“I think the world of him,” Carter said of Stevens. “A lot of guys in here do. I guess that needs to be a big wakeup call for everybody in this room that we need to get our act together. We haven’t played good enough hockey, that’s the bottom line. It’s compete. It’s energy. It’s everybody doing their job.”Desjardins doesn’t expect to fix everything quickly, but he has the winter to work on it. His family is staying in Alberta for now, so Desjardins plans to devote pretty much every waking hour to his work — and there is plenty to work on.The Kings are the NHL’s lowest-scoring team with 28 goals in their 13 games, with meager shot creation and an inconsistent power play. They’re also not playing up their traditional defensive standards Alex Tuch Jersey Kids , allowing 45 goals after finishing last season as the NHL’s stingiest team.“It means we’re not getting the job done, and that’s the disappointing part,” Los Angeles defenseman Dion Phaneuf said. “Ultimately it’s on us as players. When a change is made, it’s not about the coaching staff. It’s about us not getting the job done.”

TAMPA www.avalancheshoponline.com , Fla. (AP) Tampa Bay hasn’t played in a week, while Boston is coming off a hard-fought, seven-game playoff series.Neither the Lightning nor the less-rested Bruins expect that to mean anything when their second-round playoff series begins Saturday.A single point separated the Atlantic Division rivals in the standings after the race for the top seed in Eastern Conference came down to the final night of the regular season, and there’s every reason to believe this best-of-seven matchup will be just as tight.”Obviously, these were the top two teams in the division, and it was a close call until the last game on who was going to finish first and second,” Lightning defenseman Victor Hedman said.”It’s going to be a tough matchup. They are great team, so are we,” the Norris Trophy finalist said. ”It’s going to come down to the small detail in the game. We have the skill and depth up front to score goals, but we have to keep the puck out of our net.”Boston won three of four meetings between the teams the regular season. The Bruins won their opening round playoff series against Toronto in seven games. Tampa Bay, led by Nikita Kucherov’s 10 points (five goals, five assists) eliminated New Jersey in five games after going 0-3-1 against the Devils.”I think you learn that the regular season means nothing Colorado Avalanche T-Shirts Womens ,” Lightning captain Steven Stamkos said. ”We know how they play. Very competitive group, very well structured, especially that top line. … We’re expecting a very tight series against a very good hockey team.”The Bruins are bracing for a tough test, too.”It’s going to be a battle,” Bruins forward Brad Marchand said. ”They were a top team all year. They compete very hard, have a ton of skill, and they have a lot of depth.”THEY ALL COUNTThe Lightning earned home-ice advantage for the series by finishing one point ahead of Boston in the standings. In fact, it all came down to the final night of the season, when the Bruins were playing Florida in a makeup game for a Jan. 4 game postponed by a snowstorm. The Panthers won 4-2, leaving Boston with 112 points to 113 for Tampa Bay.”We’re not going to allow one game to define us, yet we understand the meaning,” coach Bruce Cassidy said then. ”We let one get away Colorado Avalanche Hoodies Womens , an opportunity lost to have home-ice advantage, and we’ll see if that haunts us down the road. I think it’s too early to tell that right now.”NOT THE FIRST TIMEThe Lightning and Bruins are facing each other in the postseason for only the second time. The other meeting was in the 2011 Eastern Conference Final, won by Boston in seven games.FALLING IN LINEIn the four playoff games the Bruins won against Toronto, the trio of Patrice Bergeron, David Pastrnak and Brad Marchand had a combined 30 points. In the three games they lost, they were held completely scoreless.”They’re our most important line,” defenseman Torey Krug said after they tallied three goals with four assists in Game 7. ”They’re the best line in the NHL, and when they’re going it’s hard to stop.”TONGUE LASHINGMarchand will do whatever it takes to get under the skin of his opponents, and in the first round that meant skating up to Toronto forward Leo Komarov and appearing to lick his face. (In November, he appeared to kiss Komarov on the cheek.)”I thought he wanted to cuddle. I just wanted to get close to him,” Marchand explained after the playoff game. ”He keeps trying to get close to me. I don’t know if he’s got a thing for me or what. He’s cute.”Several news organizations reported this week that the NHL sent a message to Marchand to knock it off, but he said he has received no such message. ”This is false Colorado Avalanche Hats Womens ,” he tweeted in response to a Boston Globe story that picked up on the original report, from Sportsnet.I KINDA LIKE HIMLightning coach Jon Cooper was asked how he views Marchand.”To be honest, what I have seen of him, what goes on out on the ice, he’s a competitive you know what and I love that. I think some of the greatest comments you can give a player is I hate that kid but I do wish he was on my team,” Cooper said.”I was fortunate enough during the All-Star game to meet him … and off the ice to spend a little time. It actually was disappointing, I was hoping he was going to be an idiot. I was hoping I wasn’t going to like him,” Cooper added. ”But he was unreal, and it’s amazing that a guy who is that kind and nice and outgoing and friendly is the same guy who jumps on the ice. You have to respect that about him. And when that kids jumps on the ice, he comes to play.”—AP Sports Writer Jimmy Golen in Boston contributed to this report.— SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) Seconds after almost costing the San Jose Sharks a game with a turnover, Logan Couture ended it with his backhand.Couture scored 39 seconds into overtime after getting bailed out by goalie Martin Jones and the San Jose Sharks won their season-high sixth straight game Custom Colorado Avalanche Jerseys , 2-1 over the Vegas Golden Knights on Thursday night.”I was able to make a move on their guy,” Couture said. ”(Marc-Edouard Vlasic) did a good job of driving their backchecker back and I was able to go far side.”Couture’s goal came at the end of an opening shift of the overtime that started with him losing the puck in his own zone, giving Jonathan Marchessault a chance alone in front. Jones got enough of the shot to stop it, and then Vlasic sent the puck ahead to Couture for the winning goal that moved San Jose within seven points of first-place Vegas with eight games remaining in the regular season.Brent Burns also scored and Jones made 24 saves to help the Sharks open a four-point lead over third-place Los Angeles in the Pacific Division with a game in hand as the Sharks close in on home-ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs.”For us to get a win tonight was important,” captain Joe Pavelski said. ”Plus, just plant that seed. If we stay hot, you never know, we might be able to catch them and get home ice. We took care of business tonight and we’ll try to keep playing well.”Tomas Tatar scored the lone goal for the Golden Knights, who were kept in the game by a sterling performance by goalie Malcolm Subban. He stopped 42 shots but it wasn’t enough for Vegas to come up with the win, although he helped earn a point that gave the expansion team 100 this season.”It’s impressive,” forward James Neal said. ”It’s a great season for our guys. Guys came together real quick. A great job so far but we’re not done yet.”The Golden Knights struck first on a pretty passing play early in the first period that ended when Marchessault found Tatar cutting through the slot ahead of Justin Braun. Tatar skated past Jones and backhanded the puck into the open net.Vegas has been dominant when getting off to a lead, posting an NHL-best 31-5-1 record when scoring first heading into this game. But the Sharks carried the play in the second period www.bluejacketsshoponline.com , outshooting the Golden Knights 18-4 and getting the equalizer on a blast by Burns from the point after another strong shift by San Jose’s fourth line.”We want to be playing really good hockey this time of year and heading into the playoffs. I think that’s the goal,” coach Peter DeBoer said. ”Whether we would have won tonight or lost, I like how we played for most of the game, so that’s what I’m concentrating on.”Vegas managed to keep it tied despite the lopsided shot totals, killing off a four-minute penalty to Colin Miller and another late power play that started late in the second. That penalty carried over until the third period and the Sharks got 25 seconds of a two-man advantage after Brayden McNabb was called for throwing his stick but still couldn’t get anything past Subban. The Golden Knights squandered a power-play chance later in the period when Miller was called for cross checking with the man advantage. That nearly led to a power-play goal for San Jose but Subban appeared to get a piece of a shot from in close to Joe Pavelski to keep the game tied at 1.”He’s the main reason we got the point,” coach Gerard Gallant said. ”He looked comfortable.”NOTES: Vegas G Marc-Andre Fleury didn’t make the trip to San Jose with an undisclosed injury but is expected to join the team for Saturday’s game in Colorado. … Burns became the 15th player to play 500 career games with the Sharks.UP NEXTGolden Knights: Visit Colorado on Saturday.Sharks: Host Calgary on Saturday.—

Re: LES CHAINES ÉNERGÉTIQUES ET L'ENSEIGNEMENT

EL SEGUNDO http://www.officialsabres.com/authentic … nen-jersey , Calif. (AP) — Los Angeles Kings forward Dustin Brown is out indefinitely with a broken finger. The Kings announced the extent of the 33-year-old Brown’s first significant injury Sunday.Brown was hurt during Los Angeles’ preseason finale against the Anaheim Ducks on Saturday night. He left the game in the second period shortly after getting his with a shot by teammate Anze Kopitar during a power play.Brown has been a model of durability during a lengthy NHL career spent entirely with Los Angeles. The hard-hitting wing has missed only 18 total games since he cracked the Kings’ lineup for good in 2005.He has never missed more than four games in any season since 2005, and he has played in all 82 games five times. He has also played in all 85 of the Kings’ playoff games during his career.Brown revitalized his career last season with 28 goals and 33 assists for the Kings, posting a career-high with 61 points, and reasserting himself as an agitating two-way player with a strong power-play presence and a knack for drawing penalties. The two-time U.S. Olympian was the captain of the Kings’ Stanley Cup-winning teams in 2012 and 2014. He ceded the captaincy to Kopitar in 2016 after a few years of declining production. The Kings open the regular season at Staples Center on Friday night against the San Jose Sharks. LAS VEGAS (AP) Welcome to Impossible. Those words have been projected onto the ice in big, bold letters at T-Mobile Arena before each game during the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Well, the Vegas Golden Knights are turning impossible into possible. The stunningly successful expansion squad is headed to the Stanley Cup Final after beating the Winnipeg Jets 2-1 on Sunday to win the Western Conference final series in five games.”I remember eight months ago, when we won against Dallas (in the season opener), we had that unbelievable feeling,” Vegas center Pierre-Edouard Bellemare said. ”Doesn’t feel like we’re satisfied. It’s a good feeling when you know the guys are excited for the next one.”The Golden Knights are the third franchise in NHL history to clinch a berth in the Stanley Cup Final in its inaugural season, joining the Toronto Arenas in 1918 in the league’s early days, and St. Louis Blues in 1968, when all six expansion teams were in the same division and one of them had to make the final round.Vegas will play either Tampa Bay or Washington on hockey’s biggest stage. The Lightning lead the Eastern Conference final 3-2, but the Capitals host Game 6 on Monday night.”Either way, we’re not going to be favorites,” said Jonathan Marchessault www.blackhawksshoponline.com , who leads Vegas with 18 points in the postseason. ”That’s been the case all year. Tampa has been the best team all year. Washington, (they’re) playing great hockey right now. Either way, we’re not going to be favorites, and that’s fine with us. We went all year like that and we’re going to keep going.”Hence, ”The Golden Misfits” tag.Nobody could have scripted Vegas, a 500-1 long shot at the start of the season, making the playoffs – let alone earning a shot at Lord Stanley’s Cup.But the Golden Knights, who finished fifth in the league during the regular season, just knocked off the No. 2 team in the regular season in Winnipeg, which in the conference semifinals knocked off the No. 1 team in the regular season, Nashville.Vegas clinched all three of its Western Conference series on the road, becoming the seventh team in NHL history to accomplish such a feat.”Everybody on this team has something to prove,” said Winnipeg native Ryan Reaves, who scored the winning goal Sunday in his hometown. ”We call ourselves `The Golden Misfits’ for a reason. We’re doing a good job of proving everybody wrong.”Just as they have all season, they are living in the moment.Vegas Chicago Blackhawks T-Shirts Womens , which had just two players under contract at this time last year, heads into the final round with a 12-3 playoff record after outscoring its Western Conference opponents 42-27.It’s a credit to coach Gerard Gallant’s philosophy of having a well-conditioned, confident group of forwards who work well together, focus on short effective shifts, and exude confidence on the ice – all while, as he reiterates it daily, playing 200 feet of hockey. And while the Golden Knights haven’t necessarily been a high-scoring threat, scoring just three or fewer goals in 12 of their 15 playoff games, their defensemen have played exceptional to this point. Vegas has allowed the least amount of goals in the playoffs, among teams that have played 10 games. It was a stifling and disruptive defense that helped propel the Golden Knights past the Jets on Sunday, with their sixth win in eight road games during the postseason.”Everybody’s stepping up at different times during the season,” said goalie Marc-Andre Fleury, who has 12 wins, four shutouts, a .947 save percentage and 1.68 goals against average. ”That’s a big reason why we’ve been playing consistently.”The key cog in Vegas’ engine has been Fleury Sam Reinhart Jersey , whose remarkable play has translated into a career-best postseason. He has allowed two or fewer goals in 10 of 15 playoff games, and is heading to the Stanley Cup final for a third consecutive year. And whether he admits it or not, the 14-year veteran still bears the scars of being left exposed by Pittsburgh last summer after spending the first 13 years of his career with the Penguins.Gallant, who remained coy about his team’s aspirations during the regular season, made it clear the Golden Knights haven’t reached their goal.”It’s been an awesome ride so far,” said Gallant, who some might also consider a ”misfit” after Florida fired him following a road game at Carolina last season, then left him and his luggage on the curb outside PNC Arena. ”We’re going to the Stanley Cup Final, but again, this isn’t what we want. We want to win.”It’s great to win tonight and it’s great to be the (conference) champions,” Gallant added, ”but that’s not what we’re here for.”Even as impossible as that all seemed just a few months ago.—

Re: LES CHAINES ÉNERGÉTIQUES ET L'ENSEIGNEMENT

NEW YORK — Thanks to the NHL’s schedulemaker Derek Ryan Jersey Womens , the Buffalo Sabres won’t have much time to revel in their biggest offensive outburst in almost a decade. The Sabres play the second game of a back-to-back set Sunday night, when they visit the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden. Both teams won their most recent games, albeit in far different fashion. The Sabres throttled the visiting Ottawa Senators 9-2 on Saturday afternoon. The Rangers earned their second straight shootout victory Thursday night, when they capped a four-game road trip by edging the Anaheim Ducks 3-2.Article continues below ...The rout of the Senators marked the first time the Sabres (7-5-2) scored nine goals since Jan. 27, 2009, when they beat the Edmonton Oilers 10-2. The nine goals were the most Buffalo has scored in a home game since a 10-1 victory over the Atlanta Thrashers (now the Winnipeg Jets) on Jan. 18, 2008.Any nine-goal outburst will be warmly greeted of course, but the Sabres were particularly pleased to bust out at home on the same afternoon the team honored Jason Pominville for playing in 1,000 NHL games. Pominville, who reached the milestone against the Senators on Thursday, scored two goals Saturday.“For us John Carlson Jersey , obviously, it’s been a tough few years in terms of our play at home,” Sabres center and captain Jack Eichel told reporters afterward. Buffalo entered 2018-19 with 72 home wins in the last five seasons, during which it finished with the worst overall record in the NHL three times.“I think that’s something we’re trying to take more pride in, is playing better in front of our home fans,” Eichel said. “It was great to see them pack the building for ‘Pommer’s’ ceremony.”The Rangers (5-7-1) will be playing in front of their home fans for the first time since Oct. 23, when they beat the Florida Panthers 5-2. The wins over the San Jose Sharks and the Ducks salvaged what could have been a discouraging road trip for New York, which opened the Western Conference swing by dropping two in a row to the Chicago Blackhawks and Los Angeles Kings. The loss to the Kings marked the first of three straight games in which the Rangers gave up the tying or go-ahead goal in the final seconds of regulation. After defenseman Alec Martinez scored with 55 seconds remaining to give Los Angeles a 4-3 win Oct. 28, the Sharks (Tomas Hertl with 1.3 seconds left) and Ducks (Richard Rakell with 25.3 seconds remaining) forced overtime against New York.Still, coming back to beat the Sharks and Ducks softened the blow for the Rangers.“Listen, I mean Lars Eller Jersey , it’s a little demoralizing to be giving up goals with less than a minute to go (in) three straight games,” Rangers coach David Quinn told reporters Friday. “But we keep making progress, which is really what I want to focus on.”After backup Linus Ullmark earned the win Saturday, No. 1 goaltender Carter Hutton is likely to return to the net for the Sabres on Sunday. Hutton took the loss in his most recent start Thursday, when he made 28 saves as Buffalo fell to the Senators 4-2.Henrik Lundqvist, who sat in favor of backup Alexandar Georgiev against the Ducks, is likely to draw the start Sunday. Lundqvist earned the win in his most recent appearance Tuesday night, when he recorded 31 saves as the Rangers beat the Sharks 4-3.Hutton is 4-0-0 with a 1.35 goals-against average and .960 save percentage in five appearances against the Rangers. Lundqvist is 20-13-2, 2.35, .919 in 36 games against the Sabres. The Boston Bruins are determined to extend their playoff run this season after being eliminated in the second round of the postseason last season. The Buffalo Sabres, on the other hand Madison Bowey Jersey , would just like to reach the postseason. The Bruins will have a shorter-term goal Thursday when they are in Buffalo as the Sabres open their season. They will be trying to overcome the humiliation of a 7-0 drubbing from the Stanley Cup champion Capitals in the season-opener at Washington.Article continues below ...The Bruins were down 2-0 after 1:47 of the first period.“We got ourselves behind the eight ball early, clearly weren’t ready to go,” Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy said. “It just carried on from there. …I expected a much better effort.”Bruins starting goaltender Tuukka Rask was lifted nearly halfway into the second period and Jaroslav Halak, who was slated to start Thursday, replaced him. It has not been determined who will start in goal for the Bruins in Buffalo. The Bruins had several young players last season and are hoping they take the next step this season.“I think we need growth from our guys from (their) first year into the second year,” Cassidy said. “We need good health. Clearly every year there’s teams that get better and some regress, so we can’t worry too much about them. Take care of our own business.”The Bruins needed seven games to eliminate the Toronto Maple Leafs in the first round of the playoffs and were eliminated in five by the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Maple Leafs have added free agent John Tavares and are being rated among the early favorites to win the Stanley Cup.The Sabres have eight newcomers among the 23 players on the roster for their season opener, including Remi Elie, who was claimed off waivers from the Dallas Stars Tuesday. Elie scored six goals and added eight assists in 72 games last season with the Stars. The deal that sent Ryan O’Reilly to the St. Louis Blues accounts for three of the new players: Tage Thompson, Vladimir Sobotka and Patrik Berglund. Another new player is Conor Sheary, acquired in a trade with the Pittsburgh Penguins. Sheary suffered an upper body injury on the first day of training camp and returned to practice Sunday. Jeff Skinner Nicklas Backstrom Jersey , acquired from the Carolina Hurricanes in August, also is scheduled to make his Sabres debut, along with No. 1 overall draft pick Rasmus Dahlin. The Sabres also named 21-year-old Jack Eichel as their new captain on Wednesday. Kyle Okposo and Zach Bogosian have been named alternate captains.Eichel is entering his fourth season in the NHL and starting an eight-year, $80 million contract extension. “It’s exciting not only for me and our players and our coaching staff but our city,” Sabres coach Phil Housley said. “I think he represents everything we want as far as our organization goes, and it was just a great intimate moment for him to accept the captaincy in front of the general manager and the owner and myself. There were some really good strong conversations about expectations and the way he’s got to lead, but we feel very confident about having Jack as our captain.”The Sabres did not have a captain last season, instead relying on a leadership group of four players that included Eichel.Sabres center Zemgus Girgensons, who has been with the team since 2013, believes the start of this season feels different than most.“I think this team’s capable of playoffs, so that’s definitely something we’d love to see happen James Neal Jersey Womens ,” Girgensons told the Buffalo News. “I think everyone in here, just knowing how it’s been here for the last five years, it would be a huge accomplishment. The fans deserve it. The fans deserve us players to give an all-out effort every night, and we’ll try to do that.”Girgensons, Eichel, Rasmus Ristolainen and Sam Reinhart have played a combined 1,152 games without making the playoffs.Forwards Scott Wilson, Sean Malone and Johan Larsson, and defenseman Matt Hunwick have been placed on injured reserve by the Sabres. Wilson will be out for 8-10 weeks after having surgery on a fractured ankle.

The loss prevented the Stars from passing St. Louis for third place in the Central Division.Dallas’ Kari Lehtonen had 19 saves after replacing Ben Bishop following Horvat’s goal. Bishop allowed four goals in 20 shots. Behind the mask is a mind filled with a web of a thousand thoughts, worries and a singular focus of what it takes to win a game. Then the next game, then the one after that.”There is no shut-off for a goaltender,” retired goalie Brian Boucher said. ”The mind doesn’t shut off.”A starting NHL goaltender bears a burden unlike any position in hockey and few others in sports, and the resulting pressure builds up over the course of a season. By this time of year, with the playoffs on the horizon, No. 1 goalies have grinded through almost six months of work and are battling fatigue that threatens to derail their team’s hopes.Andrei Vasilevskiy of Tampa Bay is going through it for the first time while Braden Holtby of the Washington Capitals is used to it by now. Goalies of all ages have no choice but to manage the physical and mental hurdles.”It’s one of those things that you’ve got find ways to make sure you’re prepared and ready to play every game,” Holtby said. ”As a goaltender, there’s not much room to take nights off.”It’s worse for the goalies whose teams can’t afford to start a backup. Boucher started the final 13 games for Philadelphia in 2010 to help them make the playoffs, Jonathan Quick started 20 of the final 21 games for the Los Angeles Kings when they tried to make a furious push to make it in 2015 and Kari Lehtonen could be counted on to play the final nine games of the Dallas Stars‘ season now as they claw for a spot.”You’ll go through the whole night thinking about tomorrow, show up to the rink in the morning thinking about tonight and then you show up to the game thinking about the game,” said Boucher, now an analyst for NBC Sports. ”Not until that horn goes off at the very end can you finally go, `Whew,’ and take a deep breath and hopefully it’s in a celebration with your teammates. …. You have a shower, you feel good about things, you go home, you kind of decompress and then the next day it starts again: the butterflies, the nerves, the thinking about your opponent. And that’s the mental fatigue that comes into it.”That’s what Vasilevskiy is dealing with at age 23, 58 starts into his first season as the full-time starter and the league leader in victories.”Tiredness is something that I probably never faced before Adrian Peterson Jersey Elite ,” he told The Tampa Bay Times. The same goes for Winnipeg goalie Connor Hellebuyck, who is between the pipes for meaningful games and on the cusp of his first playoff appearance. Jets goaltending coach Wade Flaherty talks to Hellebuyck almost daily about what he needs to be successful, and the staff pays careful attention to making sure the 24-year-old is good to go.Coach Paul Maurice said the Jets are aware of the balance between rhythm and rest but aren’t holding Hellebuyck back.”There’s a fatigue component that a No. 1 goaltender also has to embrace,” Maurice said. ”He has to learn how to play when he doesn’t feel 100 percent right because that’s basically going to be his life.”Winnipeg has been able to give Hellebuyck blocks of two or three days completely off, a rarity for top goalies this time of year. The Nashville Predators have a big enough lead atop the Central Division that they can afford to lighten Pekka Rinne’s workload down the stretch, which could be a huge benefit.”I like thinking outside the box,” former goalie Martin Biron said. ”You may have a Friday-Saturday game, have a Tuesday game, have a Thursday game. You can play your starter on Friday-Saturday and not play him on Tuesday so he gets Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (off) and then he gets ready for the weekend again for the Thursday. There’s a lot more days to be able to decompress and really think about how to reset and re-prepare.”Holtby got a 10-day reset from a month-plus of struggles as Philipp Grubauer started four games in a row. Having a reliable backup is a luxury Washington has – and Holtby doesn’t like taking days off, either. Toronto starter Frederik Andersen recently joked that he’s more tired of being asked if he’s tired than he is from facing the most shots in the league.Practice shots, warmups, travel and mental and physical preparation are also part of the wear and tear. Analyst Justin Goldman of The Goalie Guild said those can be spaced out over weeks and months.”Anything you can do to get a little bit of extra sleep over the course of the season is absolutely monumental when it comes time for the playoff push,” Goldman said.Biron, who started 59 games for Philadelphia in 2007-08 and backed up Henrik Lundqvist when the New York Rangers realized the ”King” needed more time off, figures 60 is the perfect number for a starter. For someone like Vasilevskiy who can’t afford to learn and wait for next year, Boucher said he hopes a more relaxed market like Tampa Bay helps now and the rush of the playoffs gets him through the grind in a few weeks.”I think Vasilevskiy’s going to be fine just because you watch his physical attributes, they’re through the roof,” Boucher said. ”So the physical side doesn’t look like it’s an issue. Now it’s his time to shine.”—

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Frederik Andersen continued the Toronto Maple Leafs‘ early season undefeated run on the road with a perfect night in goal.Andersen made 31 saves for his first shutout of the season and 16th overall and the Maple Leafs routed the high-scoring Pittsburgh Penguins 5-0 on Saturday night.“It’s a tough building against a really good team Ben Bishop Jersey ,” Andersen said. “We were talking about the first period being key for us and I thought we came out flying, skating really well and we didn’t allow too much.”Morgan Rielly scored twice and John Tavares had a goal and an assist to help Toronto improve to 6-0 on the road. The Maple Leafs are averaging an NHL-best 5.4 goals on the road. Zach Hyman and Patrick Marleau also scored and Kasperi Kapanen had two assists. The Maple Leafs picked up their first win with star forward Auston Matthews out indefinitely with a shoulder injury. Toronto scored just one goal in each of its two straight regulation losses without Matthews, who has 10 goals and 16 points in 11 games.“Guys are willing and able to accept more responsibility, more minutes and bigger situations,” Rielly said. “The strength of this team is the depth. I think there are lots of guys that can take that responsibility.’Evgeni Malkin saw his nine-game point streak end for the Penguins. They have lost three straight.“You win a few games in a row and you feel good about yourself, but the league has a funny way of humbling you and right now we’ve been humbled,” Penguins coach Mike Sullivan said. “We didn’t deserve to win tonight.”Matt Murray made 26 saves. Murray http://www.officialstarsproonline.com/a … hie-jersey , who shut out Toronto on Oct. 18, briefly left the game midway through the second period with an equipment issue. Backup Casey DeSmith stopped both shots he faced. The Penguins were swept in a home-and-home series with the New York Islanders on Tuesday and Thursday. They won their previous four games in Canada by a combined 23-6 margin, including a 3-0 shutout at Toronto on Oct. 18.Pittsburgh went 61-15-6 at home, finishing with at least 30 home wins each of the last two seasons. Carolina was the last team to shut out the Penguins at home on Jan. 4 during the 2017-18 season.“We got beat by a team that was hungry,” Sullivan said. “When we come with the right attitude and emotional investment, the rest of our game follows suit. If we’re not invested, we can look ordinary Adam Clendening Jersey Womens , and I think that was the case tonight.”Tavares opened the scoring midway through the first period when he tipped a Mitch Marner shot behind Murray. Tavares opened the season with six goals in his first four games, but he had just one in his next nine before scoring on Saturday.Marleau gave the Leafs a 2-0 lead just 44 seconds into the second period. Marleau took a pass from Kapanen off the rush and slipped a backhand deke behind Murray from the top of the crease.Rielly made it 3-0 12 seconds after a power play expired. He snuck behind the Penguins’ defense off the rush, took a pass from Tavares and lifted a glove-side wrist shot underneath the crossbar.“We’re looking forward to getting home,” Rielly said. “It’s important we get some wins at home. We feel good about going on the road, but it’s time we start to assert ourselves.”NOTES: The Maple Leafs are 4-0 when they score first. … Penguins’ F Derick Brassard missed his fourth straight game with a lower-body injury. … Penguins’ D Jack Johnson played in his 800th NHL game and F Carl Hagelin appeared in his 500th game. … The Maple Leafs recalled F Trevor Moore from Toronto of the American Hockey League on Friday, but he was scratched.UP NEXTMaple Leafs: Host Vegas on Tuesday night.Penguins: Host New Jersey on Monday night. NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) Buffalo coach Phil Housley says Victor Antipin is doing good but the Sabres will know more Sunday about the defenseman who was taken off the ice on a stretcher to a local hospital.”As far as I know Devin Shore Jersey , he’s doing well right now,” Housley said Saturday night after Buffalo’s 7-4 win over Nashville. ”He went to the hospital, that’s all I know right now. I haven’t talked to our doctors or trainers.”The Sabres later tweeted that Antipin was released from the hospital.Antipin was behind the Sabres’ net and passing the puck when Predators forward Scott Hartnell checked him into the glass from behind, though Antipin turned his head just before the hit at 14:09 of the second Saturday night.Once a trainer reached Antipin, a stretcher was called for almost immediately in a silent arena. Antipin was loaded onto a backboard before being placed on the stretcher with the defenseman’s head and neck supported by a collar.”That’s scary,” Buffalo center Sam Reinhart said. ”I didn’t see it, but there was a reason you couldn’t hear a pin drop for 10 minutes straight in there. Right now Womens Esa Lindell Jersey , we’re just hoping he’s OK, hoping the best for him. Hopefully he can recover soon because he’s a good guy in here and obviously he does a lot for the team.”Hartnell was given a 5-minute major and a game misconduct for the hit. Hartnell called it an unfortunate play and that he hopes Antipin is OK. Hartnell noted he was just trying to finish a check and not head hunting with the Predators leading at that point.”I didn’t try to hurt the guy,” Hartnell said. ”It was just kind of a hockey play. Those plays happen 10-15 times a game. It’s just an unfortunate accident.”Antipin was skating in his 47th NHL game after reaching the NHL this season.—Freelance writer Jim Diamond contributed to this report.—

Re: LES CHAINES ÉNERGÉTIQUES ET L'ENSEIGNEMENT

COLUMBUS Adidas Jonathan Bernier Jersey , Ohio (AP) Artemi Panarin turned out to be everything the Columbus Blue Jackets were looking for when they traded for him last summer: A dead-eye sniper and deft puck distributor who can get game-breaking goals and make everyone around him better. And, the Blue Jackets hope, a guy who can get them deeper into the playoffs. So far, so good. Columbus heads home to Nationwide Arena after taking a 2-0 lead over Washington in their first-round series on Sunday night, a come-from-behind 5-4 overtime win in which Panarin contributed a pair of key assists. That came three nights after Panarin won the series opener in overtime. With two assists already in regulation, he drove down the left side, slipped past Capitals defenseman Dimitry Orlov and snapped a shot over goalie Philipp Grubauer’s shoulder.”There’s very few people who can make that shot,” Washington coach Barry Trotz said.”He can make a play from nothing,” Orlov said. ”He’s so smooth.”The Blue Jackets probably wouldn’t be playing in the postseason without the 26-year-old Russian they call the ”Bread Man.” He was a steady presence and consistent scorer through a bumpy season of slumps and injuries to other key players.Panarin led Columbus with 27 goals and 55 assists, and his 82 points were the most in a single season in franchise history. His plus/minus of 23 and average of just over 20 minutes on the ice per game were career highs.Panarin – sounds like Panera Bread, hence the hockey nickname of ”Bread Man” or just ”Bread” – has embraced being a featured star after playing in the large shadow of Patrick Kane in Chicago in his first two years in the league.”In Chicago, I played with Kane and got a lot of assists from him,” Panarin said. ”But I always wanted something more, to put more of the game on myself and be more accountable for the result. Here, I got that Adidas Paul Thompson Jersey , what I wanted.”Panarin, who won the Calder Trophy as the top rookie in the NHL in 2015-16, was acquired from the Black Hawks last June along with forward Tyler Motte for forward Brandon Saad and goalie Anton Forsberg. Saad was a reliable player for Columbus for two seasons.”Bread is a different type player because he can make a special play to win a game,” Blue Jackets coach John Tortorella said. ”I just think for you to get through and find your way and try to be a better playoff team, you have to have some players that are dynamic. You’re not coaching it, they just see something, they seize a moment and they win you a game. Or they make a huge play to get you back in the game in another way.”With the Blue Jackets on a power play and down 3-2 in the second period on Sunday, Panarin dribbled the puck and patiently waited for a lane to open up before delivering a pinpoint circle-to-circle pass to Cam Atkinson , who scored the tying goal.Panarin’s line mates, veteran winger Atkinson and 19-year-old rookie center Pierre-Luc Dubois, have benefited from his skills. Atkinson – who had two goals on Sunday – has come on strong after missing time with injuries, finishing the regular season with 14 goals and 14 assists in February and March. Dubois had 20 goals and 28 assists in the regular season, making him the most productive rookie in Blue Jackets history.Panarin makes $6 million a year on a contract that runs through next season. He’ll be due a sizeable salary bump if the Blue Jackets decide to keep him around after that.So far, he’s been an ideal fit.”When they first traded me, of course for a couple days Adidas Troy Brouwer Jersey , I worried,” he said. ”But then I calmed down and understood that this is all good for me. I understood that here I would progress as a player first and foremost. What’s most important to me isn’t money, but the whole game.”—Associated Press Hockey Writer Stephen Whyno in Washington contributed to this report.— WINNIPEG, Manitoba (AP) P.K. Subban didn’t get heckled as long and as loud as he normally does from Winnipeg fans on Thursday. He and the rest of Nashville’s defenseman did enough to finally quiet the Jets on the ice, too.Pekka Rinne made 32 saves, Subban and Ryan Hartman scored and the Predators stifled Winnipeg’s high-powered offense to win 2-1 and even their second-round series through four games.Patrik Laine scored off a faceoff in the final minute, but Nashville’s Nick Bonino won two key faceoffs after that to end it.”That was an amazing team effort,” Rinne said. ”We played a really solid game throughout.”Game 5 will be Saturday in Nashville, with Game 6 set for Winnipeg on Monday. Game 7, if necessary, would be in Nashville next Thursday.Connor Hellebuyck stopped 27 shots, but Nashville snapped Winnipeg’s 13-game home winning streak, which dated to March 2.Rinne allowed five goals amid a series of defensive miscues in a 7-4 Game 3 defeat after Winnipeg totaled eight goals over the first two games. Rinne rebounded impressively behind a Nashville team that was much sharper in its own end.”I think last game, the details are kind of what cost us,” Subban said. ”This game Adidas Michael Hutchinson Jersey , we paid attention to all of them for a full 60 (minutes).”The Predators led 1-0 after the first period and stretched their lead with 5:24 left in the second when Subban blasted a one-timer on Nashville’s first power play.Booed by the thunderous white-clad crowd every time he’s touched the puck the last two games, Subban seemed to feed off the noise. It was Subban’s third goal of the series after being held without one in the first round.”The biggest thing is we had full commitment through our lineup to play defense,” Subban said. ”In our zone when bounces didn’t go our way, we worked the puck out.”The Jets found far less space in the neutral zone, but also saw a couple of golden opportunities bounce over their sticks.Winnipeg had a couple of great chances to tie it earlier in the period. Kyle Connor missed on a pass from Bryan Little in the slot on a power play, and Mark Scheifele let the puck skip over his stick on a 2-on-1 with Blake Wheeler moments before Subban silenced the crowd with his goal.Laine scored on a 6-on-4 with 50.2 seconds left in the third – his third of the playoffs and first of the series – but the Predators held on from there to wrestle back home-ice advantage.”They had five guys behind the red line and we were a little stubborn – didn’t want to make them turn around and bring the puck out,” Wheeler said. ”They pounced on a loose puck and we chased the game.”Nikolaj Ehlers was back on the Jets’ top line alongside Scheifele and Wheeler after switching spots with Connor following Tuesday’s disastrous opening 20 minutes when Winnipeg fell behind 3-0. Connor once again skated with Laine and Paul Stastny.Nashville opened the scoring with 2:40 left in the first when Hartman scored his second of the playoffs off a scramble in front. An attempted clear by Winnipeg’s Ben Chiarot in front instead went off defense partner Tyler Myers and directly to Hartman, who beat Hellebuyck up high. The teams traded chances earlier in the period, with Hellebuyck stopping Roman Josi and Scott Hartnell on 2-on-1 breaks, while the butt end of Rinne’s stick stopped Josh Morrisey’s backhand chance along the ice at the other end.”So lucky,” Rinne said. ”I mean, I’ll take that any day. But it was so lucky. I wish I could say I did that on purpose.”Notes: The Jets inserted winger Joel Armia into the lineup after he missed the first three games of the series with an upper-body injury. Rookie forward Jack Roslovic was a healthy scratch. … Hartnell stepped in for Kevin Fiala, who scored in double overtime for Nashville in Game 2. The Predators also dressed defenseman Yannick Weber in place of Alexei Emelin.—

Re: LES CHAINES ÉNERGÉTIQUES ET L'ENSEIGNEMENT

Crunching The Numbers: Home Openers at Heinz Field and Ben Roethlisberger bouncing back Welcome to our house.Heinz Field is truly amazing for a Steelers fan. If you have never attended a game there Pittsburgh Steelers Hoodie , you need to move that item to the very top of your bucket list. Between the Lombardi trophies on display in the great hall or the feeling when the jumbotron goes black just before the stadium erupts to Renegade, it is an experience that almost can’t be described. With a home record of 99-36-1, the Steelers hold the third highest win percentage (73.2%) of any home team in their current stadium. Only Gillette Stadium (Patriots; 83.7%) and U.S. Bank Stadium (Vikings; 76.4%) hold a higher home team win percentage. As impressive as that is, the Steelers are even more successful in their home opening games. Since Heinz Field opened in 2001, the Steelers are 15-2 in their first contest at home each year. They are 8-1 when opening the first week of the season, and 6–1 when their first home contest comes in Week 2. The lone time the Steelers did not play at home in the first two weeks of the season was during the inaugural 2001 season when the September 11 attacks postponed the second week of the season and the Steelers did not play their next game at home until October. For the past three seasons, the Steelers have not played at home until Week 2. In each of those games, their opponents came in to the game with a record of 1-0. The Steelers have won all three of those games by an average of 16.7 points. Additionally Customized Pittsburgh Steelers Jerseys , the Steelers are 12-1 in home opening games at Heinz Field that are played at 1 PM.There are a variety of statistical trends for the Steelers in their home opener that would be wonderful to replicate:Run! Run! Run!All 17 victories have occurred when the team has rushed 20 or more times, and 13 of those victories came with 30 or more rushing attempts. The Steelers are 11–0 when rushing for more than 100 yards in a game, and are still 4-2 when failing to reach the century mark.Cause-and-effect is a great question for each one of these games. Were the Steelers running the ball because they were winning or were they winning because they were running the ball? Either way, the attempts need to come. First and Foremost It’s all about the first half at Heinz Field in the opening game. The Steelers or 15–0 when leading or tied at half time. The only two times they have lost the home opener they trailed at the half.Give and TakeThe two losses both occurred when the Steelers were -2 in turnover ratio. They have taken care of the ball for the most part, with only two games with three turnovers or more (1-1). D is the KeyThe Steelers have never given up more than 30 points in the home opener. Outside of a loss to the Raiders in 2002 (30 points)and wins over the Browns in 2014 (27 points) and the Raiders in 2004 (21 points), The Steelers have not given up more than 18 points. The average points against in a home opener at Heinz Field for the Steelers is 13.6 points.Bouncing back in a big way. It’s an understatement to say that Ben Rothlisberger had a rough game last week. Three interceptions and two fumbles is the epitome of a disastrous outing. Steeler fans have realized that Ben bounces back rather quickly, and the numbers give much evidence to that statement. In the last 10 years (2007-2018), Ben has had seven games in which he has thrown three or more interceptions. After each of those games www.authenticspittsburghsteelers.com , the Steelers are 7–0 the following week. Additionally, Ben has only thrown three interceptions TOTAL in those seven follow-up games. It should be noted that after the game on December 19, 2011 where Ben threw three interceptions in San Francisco, he did not play the following week due to a high ankle sprain. Charlie Batch lead the team to a 27-0 victory over the Rams in Pittsburgh. Ben did start the following week, which was a victory in Cleveland 13-9.Another game of note was when Ben started the Monday night game in Washington on November 3, 2008 which was a week after he threw four interceptions against the Giants. Ben only played in the first half of that game in Washington due to a shoulder injury, but left the game with a 10-6 halftime lead. Byron Leftwich commanded the team the rest of the way for the 23–6 win Numbers For VictoryRun the ball 30 or more times for over 100 yards (this sounds very familiar).Hold the halftime advantage, keeping the run game in play.Bounce back by keeping turnovers to a minimum (I’m talking to you Pittsburgh Steelers T-Shirt , Ben). Keep the Chiefs to 17 points or less.Between the great numbers in home openers and the tendency for Ben to play big after rough outings the week before, it’s shaping up to be a good scenario for the Steelers. But all the past numbers mean nothing when it comes time for kick off on Sunday.Podcast: 'Steelers Hangover' returns tonight at 9:30 p.m. EST Join Bryan Davis and Anthony Defeo from BTSC for the day after extravaganza known as "Steelers Hangover". Re: LES CHAINES ÉNERGÉTIQUES ET L'ENSEIGNEMENT

The San Francisco 49ers face a bad New York Giants team this coming Monday Youth Adrian Colbert Jersey , but the Giants should put up a lot more of a fight than we saw from the Oakland Raiders last week. Eli Manning is running on fumes, but Saquon Barkley, Odell Beckham, Jr., and Sterling Shepard will provide a stiff challenge to a 49ers defense that has shown signs of life, but is still inconsistent. The 49ers have settled into Ahkello Witherspoon starting opposite Richard Sherman. Witherspoon struggled and was benched for a spell, but has started three straight games and looked fairly solid in them. And now Witherspoon will face a heck of a challenge against the Giants.Witherspoon plays exclusively at right cornerback, while Sherman plays exclusively at left cornerback. The Giants move their receivers around Womens Mike McGlinchey Jersey , and it is safe to say OBJ will get a lot of work opposite Witherspoon. Sterling Shepard is the second starter, but spends most of his time in the slot. Bennie Fowler is technically the first receiver off the bench, and plays outside in the Giants three-receiver sets.OBJ might want to challenge Sherman, but it would surprise me if he played even half his snaps on Sherman’s side. Sherman has come back to earth a little bit the past couple weeks, but he is still looking like a solid cornerback. With Witherspoon’s solid emergence lately, the Giants might mix it up a bit, but look for Witherspoon to be tested in a big way.Witherspoon is ready for the challenge. He told NBC Sports Bay Area’s Jennifer Chan that he is, “[v]ery excited. To be the best Womens Fred Warner Jersey , you have to beat the best. It’s a great opportunity, I’m excited.” And OBJ is one of the best. Witherspoon will get a chance to show if the past couple weeks are an exception, or if he is turning a corner after a rough start to the season. We will hear plenty over the next week about Nick Mullens’ performance in the San Francisco 49ers win over the Oakland Raiders. But beyond his performance, the pass rush was a revelation — for at least one game — and it was critical to the 49ers victory. The 49ers have struggled to get any kind of pressure off the edge. Cassius Marsh occasionally has gotten through, but it’s been an inconsistent unit. On Thursday, the unit was huge in Dekoda Watson’s return from injured reserve. Marsh finished the game with six pressures and 2.5 sacks, while Watson had six pressures and 1.5 sacks. The 49ers as a whole sacked Carr seven times and got 26 total pressures, according to Pro Football Focus. The 49ers had averaged a little under 18 pressures per game entering Week 9. The unit has been able to harass quarterbacks http://www.the49ersfootballauthentic.co … -authentic , but they have struggled mightily in closing the deal. That was not the case this week, even against a Raiders offensive line that has been shaky but not atrocious. Entering the game, Football Outsiders ranked the Raiders 16th in adjusted sack rate. That’s certainly not great, but it’s not exactly atrocious.Dekoda Watson has never been a big pass rush guy. He entered the game with four career sacks, and has been more a special teams player than regular defensive option. I’m not expecting a massive close to the season, but having a guy with fresh legs might be worth noting. Someone mentioned that on Twitter last night, and it makes some sense. The Raiders were playing on a short week, and Watson has been rehabbing the first eight weeks of the season. Maybe these next couple weeks he has an edge over some of the offensive linemen he’s facing. We’ll break down the pass rush in more detail in the coming days Womens Tress Way Jersey , but suffice to say, it was great seeing at least one week of positive momentum for the unit. And there might be some room to build on it next week against the New York Giants. Football Outsiders ranks them 25th in adjusted sack rate, and Eli Manning just seems comfortable giving up on plays and falling into a sack. The pass rush could get a chance to eat once again in nine days.

Re: LES CHAINES ÉNERGÉTIQUES ET L'ENSEIGNEMENT

The San Francisco 49ers once again will not be playing on a Sunday http://www.the49ersfootballauthentic.co … -authentic , instead they will be on Monday Night Football. Last Thursday, the 49ers snapped their six-game losing streak to notch their second win. The double-edged sword effect of this win put them back in draft order, but team morale may be more valuable than a draft pick. Here’s a look at what the top of the draft order looks like: 1. New York Giants (1-7)2. Oakland Raiders (1-7)3. San Francisco 49ers (2-7)4. Buffalo Bills (2-7)5. Arizona Cardinals (2-6)6. Cleveland Browns (2-6-1)The 49ers are not playing on Sunday, but plenty of us will be watching football. Most of the games have teams that should (by logic) lose against a more superior foe, but we’ve seen stranger things happen. Teams at three wins are not on the rooting guide for the time being since the 49ers are still a full game ahead of them in draft order.Bills (2-7) at New York Jets (3-6): Bills — Root for the Bills all you want, but the Jets have their own issues to deal with Womens DeForest Buckner Jersey , especially with their rookie quarterback. At this point, I would love another win for the Bills to just be safe, but don’t hold your breath on it. Atlanta Falcons (4-4) at Browns (2-6-1): Browns — The Falcons are much better than their record indicates and Cleveland always finds a way to ruin everyone else’s plans for draft positioning, the 49ers or otherwise. I’d love a Browns win just because I’m starting to like them out of pity. Los Angeles Chargers (6-2) at Oakland Raiders (1-7): Raiders. Asking them to win a game after their mid-season gutting is like asking a Wile E. Coyote to stop chasing the Road Runner. They are getting thumped. Hard. Arizona Cardinals (2-6) at Kansas City Chiefs (8-1): Cardinals. Though asking them to beat anyone not named the San Francisco 49ers is like asking someone to build a time machine so the 49ers can get a second attempt for the two times they lost to the Cardinals. Which also happens to be the only two times the Cardinals won a game. The San Francisco 49ers are in the midst of a short week, as they continue preparations to face the Oakland Raiders on Thursday Night Football. Both teams gave their players some time off on Monday to recuperate from Week 8. They will hold fairly normal practices on Tuesday, and then likely have walkthroughs on Wednesday. The short week mean the media availability is truncated as well. Normally the 49ers practice Wednesday Youth Brock Coyle Jersey , Thursday, and Friday, and have different availability each day. This week, it’s all happening on Tuesday. Head coach Kyle Shanahan will meet with the media at approximately 12:30 p.m. PT. He will be followed by defensive coordinator Robert Saleh, and then quarterback C.J. Beathard. The locker room will be open after that, until 1:30 p.m. The 49ers are holding a late practice at 4:45 p.m. as they work to get their players recovered from this past Sunday’s game. The 49ers will stream the press conferences Twitter Womens Ahkello Witherspoon Jersey , Facebook, and the team’s app. The 49ers beat writers will also have updates from the media sessions. I’ve embedded our beat writer Twitter list so you can follow along. We’ll have transcripts later today, along with the Tuesday injury report.A Twitter List by NinersNation

Eagles defensive lineman Michael Bennett was not fined for a roughing the passer penalty in the team’s Week Five loss to the Vikings Cheap Saquon Barkley Jersey , but he did hear from the league about a penalty in their Week Six win over the Giants.PFT has confirmed with the league that Bennett has been fined $20,054 after being penalized for roughing Giants quarterback Eli Manning. The penalty came in the second quarter with the Giants deep inside Eagles territory and gave them a fresh set of downs after failing to convert on third down. The Giants still wound up settling for a field goal on the drive after a pair of Manning incompletions.Bennett’s penalty against the Vikings was a more contentious call than the one in the Giants game as he was flagged for hitting Kirk Cousins low after it appeared he was blocked into the quarterback by Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph. NFL officiating head Al Riveron said it was the right call, although the NFL did not deem it worthy of supplemental discipline.Giants linebacker Alec Ogletree was fined $10,026 for an unnecessary roughness penalty in the third quarter of the 34-13 Eagles win.Eli Manning: “Nothing is going to get fixed by complaining” Did Eli Manning hint at some locker room unhappiness during his post-game remarks on Sunday night following the New York Giants’ 20-13 loss to the Dallas Cowboys?“Obviously guys are disappointed, some guys are getting frustrated as we should Cheap Odell Beckham Jr Jersey , but we can’t let that affect our preparation or our practices, so we’ve got to bounce back and come back,” Manning said. “Nothing is going to get fixed by complaining, we just need to step it up, make a difference and fix some things.”The Giants are now 0-2. What was expected to be an explosive offense has been pedestrian http://www.giantscheapshops.com/cheap-a … meh-jersey , at best, averaging 14.0 points through two games. Sunday, the offense was reduced mostly to checkdowns to Saquon Barkley, who caught an astounding 14 passes. The offensive line hasn’t been good. There haven’t been enough big plays. Mostly, there has been a pair of season-opening losses.A year ago Aldrick Rosas Jersey , a season that went sour was marked by locker room issues. Mostly by what seemed like a division between the players and the coaching staff. With a new coach and 30 new players the Giants hope to have put all of that behind them. “When you have new players, a new scheme, a new coach sometimes it takes a little bit of time, especially for your first game on the road. It can take a little bit to get your rhythm and get things going, so we just have to keep working and make sure everyone can figure it out with the coaches to do better Youth Patrick Omameh Jersey , and do differently to put us in a better position,” Manning said. The Giants, though, are rapidly running out of time. They need answers — and victories — soon.

Dallas Cowboys sign former Giants’ safety Darian Thompson to their 53-man roster The Dallas Cowboys are signing former New York Giants safety Darian Thompson to their 53-man roster. The Giants drafted Thompson in the third round of the 2016 draft Color Rush Riley Dixon Jersey , and he started 18 games for the Giants, making 85 tackles, 6 passes defensed, and 1 interception. Thompson was a surprisingly waived after the final pre-season game when the team decided to go with former cornerback Curtis Riley as their free safety.Thompson was injured in preseason and the Giants seemingly wanted a converted cornerback as a free safety, moving Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie to the position before waiving him and they tried William Gay there as well. The third-year safety landed on the Arizona Cardinals’ practice squad after being waived as a part of the massive roster turnover that came with final cutdowns. The Giants won’t see the Cowboys, and Thompson (assuming he is still healthy and on their 53-man roster) until the final game of the season. Will Hernandez played college football for UTEP, a Conference USA school that stumbled to an 0-12 record in 2017. Going from that bumbling mid-level college program to the NFL was a massive jump for the New York Giants’ 2018 second-round pick.Hernandez surrendered five sacks in his first seven games, but none since. His improvement has been a big part of why the Giants’ offensive line has been better the second half of the season. On Friday Color Rush Landon Collins Jersey , offensive line coach Hal Hunter explained why he believes Hernandez has gotten better.“Will had come from a little bit smaller program (UTEP) so he probably hadn’t played against that same competition, so he had to jump a couple levels and get thrown in there right away. I think one thing that’s helped him is he’s been able to adjust to the speed of the game,” Hunter said. “The guys he’s playing against are better than any guys he’s played against, he’s playing against the best guys in the country, the best three techniques, so he’s locked up. I think he’s learned to adjust to the speed of the game.”Hunter said Hernandez has made fewer mistakes as the season has progressed.“Pro offenses are so much more complicated, we ask you to learn so much more and you get less rep time, and so I think that’s been an accomplishment Youth Sterling Shepard Jersey ,” Hunter said. “I’ve seen him grow over the year, over the season, being able to understand – his missed assignments have gone way (down). “The first and second half of the season is like night and day in terms of knowing what to do. You just see him reacting quicker and quicker and quicker, where early in the season sometimes a guy would make a move, maybe a stunt and he was a step behind that. Now he’s to the point where he’s anticipating the stunt.”Young defensive linemen developingThird-round pick B.J. Hill and fifth-round pick R.J. McIntosh are both expected to be important cogs in the Giants’ defensive front in 2019. Hill, with five sacks, has had an excellent rookie year. McIntosh has played limited snaps (only two last week) after missing the entire spring, summer and more than half the season with an undisclosed illness.Defensive line coach Gary Emanuel spoke Friday about both players. On Hill ...“He continues to get better each week. He’s getting better and what you want to see is a young player just keep developing in certain areas of the game. He’s getting better against the run Alec Ogletree Jersey , he’s better with his technique,” Emanuel said. “The big thing with all young guys, you have to work on consistency, and them handling a heavy workload was good to see.”On McIntosh ...“He started late, so he’s just – it’s really his preseason almost. Kind of getting his feet under himself,” Emanuel said. “He missed training camp, he missed the preseason games, so that’s eight weeks of football he really missed 4Dalvin Tomlinson Jersey , so he’s just now starting to wind into shape and getting back and getting healthy and things of that nature, so we’re anticipating him to continue to get better.”Around the Inter-GoogleLeonard: As Odell Beckham's season comes to a close it's worth asking if his Giants career is also 'finito' - NY Daily NewsPat Shurmur, you’ll recall, closed his most viral press conference of the season in Week 5 at Carolina with these famous words in an angry defense of his Giants and his handling of Odell Beckham Jr.’s controversial ESPN interview:The Giants' Super Bowl window is Saquon Barkley's rookie contract | SNY

The Redskins allowed another coach to leave the building today. Inside Linebackers coach Kirk Olivadotti was given permission to interview with the Green Bay Packers for the same position this week. He has now reportedly been hired for the Packers Youth Customized Washington Redskins Jerseys , and the Redskins have another job to fill on their coaching staff. This was Olivadotti’s second run with the Redskins. He originally coached for Washington from 2000-2010, coaching special teams, defensive backs, and linebackers at various points. He left to coach linebackers in college at Georgia from 2011-2013. He was hired again by the Redskins in 2014 when Head Coach Jay Gruden took over the team. He has coached both outside and inside linebackers. The Redskins also gave Special Teams Coordinator Ben Kotwica permission to interview with other teams, and he left to take the same job with the Atlanta Falcons. His replacement, Nate Kaczor, was named today. There were reports of a lot of turnover on the coaching staff this offseason, but the news has been more about who the Redskins couldn’t hire. Defensive Coordinator Greg Manusky returns, and the team continues to interview people to replace Defensive Backs Coach Torrian Gray. Washington has denied some assistants permission to interview with other teams, like Head Strength and Conditioning Coach Chad Englehart... ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) 鈥?Colt McCoy silenced his phone knowing he was coming back to his home state for his first NFL start in four years, in the stadium where he helped lead the Texas Longhorns to a shot at a national title as their star quarterback and where he last won a game as a pro.The longtime Washington backup also knows what's most important as he takes over following Alex Smith's season-ending leg injury. The Redskins (6-4) can control the NFC East by beating the rival Dallas Cowboys (5-5) in the most traditional of Thanksgiving games Thursday."I'm thankful for the opportunity www.redskinsauthorizedshops.com , but I think it's even more than that," McCoy said. "It's time to just go play and put everything else aside. We have a huge game this week. It's a huge game."McCoy is 2-0 at AT&T Stadium, beating Nebraska for the 2009 Big 12 championship and a spot in the BCS championship game, which Texas lost to Alabama when McCoy got hurt early. The small-town Texas kid beat the Cowboys five years later, completing 25 of 30 passes for 299 yards in a 20-17 overtime win for the Redskins. He's 32 now, and hasn't started since the last of three straight defeats late in the 2014 season, a little more than a month removed from that win over the Cowboys. McCoy, a third-round pick by Cleveland in 2010 after that title-game loss to the Crimson Tide, has a career record of 7-18.McCoy is in  just four games over four seasons, including when he replaced Smith in the third quarter of Sunday's 23-21 loss to Houston. A potential winning drive stalled near midfield, and Dustin Hopkins‘ 63-yard field goal try fell short with 3 seconds left."It's been a while since he's played in a significant game. That'll be the challenge," coach Jay Gruden said."I know he's excited as heck Washington Redskins Womens T-Shirt , man. He hated to get the opportunity the way he got it with Alex getting hurt. I understand that. But deep down inside, he's been waiting for this."Dallas running back Ezekiel Elliott has been waiting for another Thanksgiving game since he had to miss last year on his six-game suspension over domestic violence allegations. In his Thanksgiving debut against the Redskins two years ago as a rookie, he jumped into the giant Salvation Army red kettle after a touchdown in a 31-26 Dallas win. to their first winning streak of the season, a pair of victories on the road after they were winless in their first four away from home."We said this a couple weeks ago, though; we knew that the division was still in front of us," quarterback Dak Prescott said. "Our backs are still against the wall. We know what this game means. We know how important this game is."BIG RETURNSWashington could get a major boost if any combination of left tackle Trent Williams, running back Chris Thompson, wide receiver Jamison Crowder and cornerback Quinton Dunbar can return from lengthy injury absences.Williams just needs to feel comfortable blocking after surgery for a dislocated right thumb, and Thompson said his injured ribs feel markedly better this week. Dunbar, who's dealing with nerve damage as part of a shin injury, feels "pretty close" but isn't sure if he'll make the problem worse.ELLIOTT'S WORKLOADIt just so happens that Elliott's season high in touches ?30 in a 22-19 win over Atlanta ?came on the Cowboys' annual short week. In road wins over the NFC's past two Super Bowl participants in Philadelphia and Atlanta, Elliott had 55 touches (42 carries Washington Redskins Hats , 13 catches) for 388 yards from scrimmage and three touchdowns."If that's what it has to be then that's what it's going to be," said Elliott, who needs 91 yards rushing to overtake idle NFL rushing leader and MVP contender Todd Gurley. "I'm definitely not afraid of that."BALANCING ACTPart of the Redskins' challenge in helping McCoy succeed is getting Adrian Peterson going on the ground. Peterson had just 16 carries for 51 yards in the loss to Houston, but ran for two touchdowns and is looking forward to playing back in his home state of Texas. The pressure's on Peterson and the rest of Washington's running backs to produce in the running and passing games. The former Oklahoma standout had 99 yards in the earlier win over the Cowboys.GALLUP BACKDallas rookie receiver Michael Gallup is expected to play after rejoining the team Wednesday. He stayed behind with his family after getting the news following the win over the Falcons that his brother died by suicide."The situation's unique, the individual's unique, the circumstances," coach Jason Garrett said. "I do think for all of us as we go through challenging things, I do think getting back to routine and structure typically can help us."STARTS WITH DEFENSEThe Redskins, who haven't allowed a 100-yard rusher, held Elliott to 33 yards in a 20-17 win in the first meeting. It's the second-lowest total of his career. Both teams are in the top five in scoring defense and in the top six in rushing defense. Custom Green Bay Packers Jerseys

Re: LES CHAINES ÉNERGÉTIQUES ET L'ENSEIGNEMENT

With the Senior Bowl wrapped up White Paul Richardson Jersey , I thought I would do my first Redskins Mock Draft of the year using only Senior Bowl prospects. Now obviously it’s unlikely a team would only draft Senior Bowl players, but this is a fun exercise looking at some potential options for the Redskins. I used On the Clock without trades for this scenario. You can see my full Senior Bowl coverage here, including an interview of one of the players below. Feel free to follow along with the full mock draft, but remember I was only focusing on Senior Bowl players in this scenario. 15: R1P15 EDGE MONTEZ SWEAT, MISSISSIPPI STATE-This was a decision between taking Drew Lock and Montez Sweat with this selection. While it’s tempting to go with the potential franchise QB, I decided to go with Sweat here. Sweat had a fantastic week of practice and showed off his impressive length and quickness off the snap. Sweat has put up 22 sacks over the past two years playing in the SEC and has the ability to be a 10+ sack a year player to replace Preston Smith. 46: R2P14 C DALTON RISNER, KANSAS STATE-Risner is listed as a center here, but I view him as an option to play guard to fill the LG vacancy. Risner played most of the week at right tackle, but he’s played center and guard in his career and is one of the most versatile linemen in the class. Risner has good feet and plays with a mean streak. His versatility is a huge plus as he can fill in at other positions if need be (though ideally as a rookie he learns one role). Risner is a good value pick in the middle of round 2, and would be the final missing link for the Redskins OL. The Redskins will likely need to rely on their offensive line next year as try to feature Derrius Guice heavily in the offense. 76: R3P12 WR ANDY ISABELLA, UMASS-Though he typically get’s pigeon-holed as a slot receiver only in the ilk of a Wes Welker, Isabella’s skill set is beyond that. He may primarily be used in the slot, but he’s got the ability to play outside some. Also from the slot, he’s likely to see more downfield passing as he was a serious deep threat in college. Isabella can absolutely fly and is probably one of the favorites for the fastest 40 time at the Combine. Isabella expects to run in the 4.3’s and even could crack the 4.2’s. If you want to add speed and play-making ability to the Redskins roster Isabella is a great option to do so. 96: R3P32 QB JARRETT STIDHAM, AUBURN-While I think there is a fair argument of either taking a 1st RD QB or passing on the position all-together, I think Stidham here is a solid choice. He had a really good week of practice at the Senior Bowl and flashed some starting upside. He’s got pretty good arm talent and while he’s coming off a disappointing year in the right system he could develop. With only Colt McCoy and Josh Johnson as the “healthy” QB options right now, adding a mid-round QB for depth makes sense. Even if Stidham never develops as a franchise QB, he can offer value as a cheap back-up going forward. Also, by taking Stidham it wouldn’t prevent the Redskins from addressing the position early in the draft in 2020 or 2021 depending on the future of Alex Smith. 154: R5P15 WR TERRY MCLAURIN http://www.authenticswashingtonredskins … own-jersey , OHIO STATE-McLaurin might have helped himself enough this week that he goes higher than this, but with a deep receiver draft he could easily fall to this range. McLaurin has been Ohio State’s big play receiver the past two years, averaging 17.8 yards per catch and 17 combined TDs. That’s despite being 3rd or 4th on the team in targets. McLaurin had a really strong week showcasing his speed and route running. He showed he’s more than just a deep threat this week and that he can threaten a defense in a number of ways. Adding him on top of Isabella gives the Redskins a pair of big play receivers with serious speed. Add them to the mix with Josh Doctson, Paul Richardson and Trey Quinn and the Redskins will have a receiver core with a lot of speed and big play ability. 172: R5P33 TE DREW SAMPLE, WASHINGTON-The Redskins are likely to cut Vernon Davis this offseason as his contractis ballooning and his role on the team seems to be decreasing. With Jordan Reed potentially following him out the door the following year or two, adding more young TE talent makes sense. Sample is a good two-way TE. He’s a really good blocker and he can help as a receiver as well. He runs well for his size and showed pretty good hands this week. He will never be a Jordan Reed type of TE, but he can be an effective number 2 TE. 207: R6P32 G BEN POWERS, OKLAHOMA-Currently the Redskins have Trent Williams, Brandon Scherff, Morgan Moses, Chase Roullier, Geron Christian and Tyler Catalina as the only offensive linemen under contract with any NFL experience. So in addition to finding a starting LG, getting a back-up or two will be key. Powers is a great late round target as he was a first team All-American at Oklahoma this past year and has been a 3 year starter at guard. He’s a tough, physical blocker who has experience at both guard spots, and even played some Tackle back in his freshman year at a JUCO college. Despite being a late round guy, he’s actually got some future starting potential. 229: R7P13 S MARQUISE BLAIR, UTAH-Blair has been a solid safety for Utah the past two seasons after transferring in from Community College. He is a bigger safety and probably profiles as an in the box option at the next level. While he’s probably not ever going to be a starter, he should be a solid back-up/core special teamer which is all you can ask for late in the draft. Overview:Obviously I was limited in who I could select based on limiting myself to the 110 Senior Bowlprospects, but overall this is a solid draft. Sweat White D.J. Swearinger Jersey , Risner, and Isabella should all be day one starters (Isabella primarily from the Slot, but will play outside as well), with McLaurin, Sample and Powers all as key back-ups. Stidham has some long term potential and at worst he’s a solid cheap back-up. Sweat has the chance to be an elite pass rusher and Risner could be a very good starter as well. While Isabella is tougher to predict, if it comes together his game breaking ability gives him the upside of a T.Y. Hilton/Tyreek Hill type of offensive weapon. If he doesn’t hit that peak, he should still be a very productive slot receiver with some deep threat ability added in. McLaurin is another receiver I wouldn’t discount, I really enjoyed watching him at the Senior Bowl and see a future bigger role for him than what he had at Ohio State. What do you think? Do you like this scenario, or would you have gone with Drew Lock in the first round? The Redskins faced off against Jacksonville Jaguars this Sunday and the first quarter between the two teams gotten off to the start many expected. However, the Redskins were able to get the most traction of the two teams, as well as win the field position battle. The Redskins defense was able to pressure Jaguars quarterback Cody Kessler on multiple dropbacks, forcing him to check it down quicker than he would have liked, and even forced a fumble on one of their sacks. Washington’s defense was able to get off to a good start against Jacksonville, who after the past five weeks, ranked amongst the worst defensive units over that time-span. In all, the defensive unit has sacked Kessler four times and forced one turnover in the first half. On the other end, offensive struggles continue. Even with good field position, the Redskins offense struggles to capitalize with touchdowns or even sustaining a drive with the driving factor being penalties. The first half ineptitude proved fatal late in the second quarter, which left Washington trailing 10-3 following a Jaguars punt-return touchdown by Dede Westbrook. The Redskins had more penalties (five) than first downs in the first downs (two) in the first half against Jacksonville White Adrian Peterson Jersey , but eventually would be able to gain some traction in the third quarter with the help of recently signed quarterback Josh Johnson. Johnson’s third quarter performance carried over into the fourth, leading Washington inside the Jaguars red-zone midway through the fourth quarter with a scoring pass to tight end Jeremy Sprinkle. For obvious reasons, it was the best drive Washington had to that point in the game. But not so fast, Washington’s second half offensive performance was not done yet. Following a big interception of Cody Kessler deep in the Redskins territory, Josh Johnson and Adrian Peterson co-led a huge seven-play 36-yard drive to set the Redskins up in excellent field goal position. Washington came back to beat Jacksonville 16-13 on a last-second field goal by Dustin Hopkins. Josh Johnson finished 16-of-25 for 151 yards and a touchdown through the air, and added nine rushes for 49 yards. Jamison Crowder was Johnson’s leading target, hauling in 46 yards on four receptions, bringing in each of the targets sent his way. Jeremy Sprinkle recorded his first touchdown of the season in addition to 19 yards on three catches.Adrian Peterson was Washington’s leading rusher with 51 yards on 19 carries in addition to two grabs for 20 yards. Chris Thompson also added nine yards on five rushes. On defense Mason Foster tallied seven tackles to lead the team, while the Redskins recorded eight sacks including two apiece from Jonathan Allen and Ryan Kerrigan who surpassed Charles Mann’s career mark, and moved into second place in team history. Fabian Moreau’s second half interception ended up being crucial in the Redskins’ winning effort. The defense did a tremendous job bottling up an under-manned Jacksonville offense. Cody Kessler was just 9-of-17 for 57 yards and an interception through the air. Kessler was also the Jaguars’ leading rusher with 68 yards on 11 carries, while Leonard Fournette was held to just 11 carries for 46 yards. Despite a breakdown allowing a punt return for a touchdown in the waining moments of thefirst half, Washington’s special teams continued to stand out as Dustin Hopkins was 3/3 for field goals, and team MVP Tress Way averaged 46.5 yards per punt and pinned half of his attempts inside the 20 yard line, despite playing with a back-up long snapper for the first time this year.In the end, despite playing with their fourth starting quarterback of the season, Washington keeps their playoff hopes alive at 7-7, and a chance to win the NFC East with two games remaining in 2018. Re: LES CHAINES ÉNERGÉTIQUES ET L'ENSEIGNEMENT

Have you ever noticed how some situations seem to work themselves out all on their own? Some refer to it as the yin and yang theory. For every action there is a equally powerful reaction. Life is like that oftentimes. Fads come and go Youth Sean Davis Jersey , but the more things change the more they stay the same. The NFL landscape is no different. Just when it seems some offensive mastermind has developed some unstoppable scheme, a defensive genius devises a way to stymie it. That was on full display in this past weekend's slate of playoff games. It sure was a fun ride for the Baltimore Ravens and the Seattle Seahawks as they utilized similar run heavy attacks to take the league by surprise and secure their playoff positioning. But alas even good things have to eventually come to an end. These predominantly rushing reliant offenses run against the norm in today's pass happy NFL. The recent rules changes have all favored the down the field, high scoring passing attacks popping up all over the NFL landscape. The mid season changes in offensive philosophy made by both the Ravens and Seahawks caught their opponents by surprise at first and created mismatches that their defensive personnel were ill equipped to deal with. Or so it seemed. Both teams made their adjustments out of necessity. The Ravens had a stagnant offense being lead by uninspiring QB Joe Flacco and a group of skill position players that was mediocre at best. However, they did have a dynamic offensive weapon in talented and elusive QB Lamar Jackson. The change in philosophy made perfect sense. The Seahawks were also blessed with a mobile QB in Russell Wilson, himself a Super Bowl winning QB. While Wilson is an accomplished passer, the Seahawks offensive line struggled to provide him with the requisite time needed to find his receivers. However, they were excellent run blockers and since Wilson excels at play action, the switch brought out the best in the Seahawks offense. So how did these feel good storylines play out this past Wildcard Weekend? Not so good I am afraid, if you happened to be rooting for either of these teams. The reason why is simple. The more balanced team usually wins in a one and done scenario. Many factors can affect that outcome, such as turnovers and special teams turning out to not be very special, but the rule holds true more often than not http://www.steelerscheapauthenticstore. … rsey-cheap , all things being equal. Both teams proved to be too one dimensional when confronted by a more well balanced opponent, and the end results bellied this fact. The Chargers stayed in a vanilla base defense for the majority of their first encounter with the Ravens this season, a late season home loss against the bludgeoning Ravens squad playing at the height of their powers. The Chargers seemed to realize the high probability that they would meet again in the playoffs, and they refused to show their hand during a regular season game that meant more to the Ravens than it did to them.Sunday's contest was a whole different ballgame. The Los Angeles Chargers went to Baltimore and was anything but vanilla on defense. They basically replaced their LBs with safeties to take away the speed advantage that Jackson had enjoyed previously against each opponent. Worked like a charm. Jackson was well on his way to a historical bad performance passing till the Chargers took their foot off the gas late and gave up a couple of quick scores. It all proved to be too little too late.Seattle also ran into a more well balanced opponent in the Dallas Cowboys. In all fairness, Seattle's kicker was injured in the first half which affected their play calling throughout the game, but they struggled to establish the running game against the Cowboys stout defense, therefore limiting the effectiveness of their play action game.So are we witnessing a return to old school football, where teams are built around a strong running game, the occasion big play in the passing game, and a hard nosed defense and special teams? I don't think so, and these first round playoff games provided some compelling evidence.Success in today's NFL is dependent on creating balance Cheap Ben Roethlisberger Jersey , or the appearance of such. The creativity necessary to maximize your strengths and minimize your weaknesses, and the ability to disguise your shortcomings to prevent them from being exploited. The Steelers were never able to achieve balance this season, on either side of the ball. They failed to find their identity on offense even though I thought they were pretty close on a couple of occasions. I was wrong both times. What resulted was a pass dependent offense that never found their rhythm running the ball, some of which was caused by extenuating circumstances. That has to be remedied before next season if the Steelers are going to return to the playoffs.Hopefully next year Steelers Nation won't have to suffer through another post season minus our Pittsburgh Steelers. I guess I should be thankful I got to witness the Ravens suck all hope from their fans just as they finally gave them something to cheer for. It brought a smile to my face and a little pep to my step. It was much appreciated.Coach Tomlin joins in unison with those praising James Conner With the status of LeVeon Bell growing more doubtful with every day he doesn’t report to the team, both coaches and teammates have stepped up with overwhelming support for James Conner to be able get the job done. At his weekly press conference, Coach Tomlin was asked if the game plan would change if Conner were to get the start over Bell. His answer was simple:“No.”Coach Tomlin went on to say how he’s seen improvement from James in all areas since last season. He described Conner as going, “from a rookie that missed time due to soft-tissue injuries and lack of general readiness to a guy that’s done the things that we’ve outlined...”The best endorsement of Conner in the same press conference was when Coach Tomlin was asked if he was more comfortable now with what’s behind Bell going into Cleveland than last year. His answer was simple once again:“Yes.”Even more simple was his response to the follow-up question as to why that is:“James.”Coach Tomlin wasn’t the only team spokesman with a ringing endorsement for James Conner this week. According to ESPN’s to Jeremy Fowler, Ramon Foster said when asked about James, “When you’re ready, you’re ready. He’s ready.”In his weekly interview with 93.7 The Fan, Ben Rothlisberger also had a lot of praise for Conner. When asked about him as a receiver and a pass-blocker Cheap Maurkice Pouncey Jersey , Ben had plenty to say. “I’ve watched James really grow in a lot of areas. We all know what James can do running the ball. I’ve told him this, and it’s no secret, I felt like whether he worked on it or not, his hands have gotten much better since last year. He’s catching a lot of passes and tough passes. So as a receiver, he also gets to the spot he needs to get to right now.”Ben also was pleased with Connor’s improvement in blitz pickup.“Where it starts, when it comes to this, is your heart and desire and will to want to block. And James has that.”Ever since he was drafted last season, Steelers Nation has been in love with Conner. His story of battling cancer is inspiring to many. And through hard work and dedication, he’s earning a massive amount of respect from his teammates and coaches. If he gets the nod for Week 1, it’ll be nearly impossible to find anyone who’s not pulling for him. NFL Outlet

Re: LES CHAINES ÉNERGÉTIQUES ET L'ENSEIGNEMENT

The Pittsburgh Steelers’ season is over http://www.authenticspittsburghsteelers … eva-jersey , but if you think the news surrounding the black-and-gold is over — think again. For the drama-filled Steelers, things are just heating up, and this is where the daily links article comes in. You might have missed some key news, and we fill you in and give you the latest, and sometimes greatest, news surrounding the Steelers.Today in the Black-and-gold links article we take a look at the scathing criticism by Steelers great Hines Ward very well could right on the money. Like it or not, sometimes hear these things just doesn’t sit well, but it doesn’t make it fiction.Let’s get to the news:Tim Benz: Hines Ward is right – Steelers are now the Bengals, must become the PatriotsBy: Tim Benz, Pittsburgh Tribune-ReviewIf you don’t value my opinion on the declining state of the Steelers, that’s fine. Maybe you’ll value the opinion of another guy many folks said was too short. Except he did play in the NFL.He was pretty good at it. You might remember him. His name is Hines Ward.”When we’re talking about the Steelers off the field more than we’re talking about the Steelers on the field, it’s a problem,” Ward said to USA Today. “Remember those Cincinnati Bengals, when they were worried about the shenanigans with (Chad) Ochocinco and T.J. (Houshmandzadeh)? That’s who the Steelers are now.”Sounds familiar, no?”I just think the culture that Mike Tomlin has created http://www.authenticspittsburghsteelers … tro-jersey , or that exists in Pittsburgh, that’s not the standard of the Pittsburgh Steelers,” Ward added. The former Steelers receiver made those comments during Super Bowl week, a few days after I sent that tweet. So, apparently, we are of like mind on this front. The one-time Super Bowl MVP also used the word ”circus” to describe the Steelers. That’s another word I have used myself, much to the chagrin of Steelers management.Ward is right. The Steelers have become like those other teams: A talented but disorganized and underachieving lot that’s more known for their headlines off the field than the ones they make on it.The only people refuting that belief are those in the organization trying polish the horse droppings of 2018, some fans who can’t bring themselves to admit the truth, and some media members who feel like carrying water for the team.Ward said those things from a place of concern for his NFL alma mater. Not to get folks retweeting his quote with flame emojis.Frankly, I was doing the same. I hate admitting what the Steelers have become. I’d love to see the team get back to what it was when Ward was playing. It wasn’t the smoothest of times back then either, mind you. Ward played a role in that. He once griped about not getting the ball enough ... in training camp. He questioned Ben Roethlisberger for not playing when the quarterback had a concussion.Roethlisberger created a monsoon of negative press. Joey Porter constantly found himself in off-the-field situations. Plaxico Burress, too. Not to mention Cedric Wilson and James Harrison. But when it was time to play — and practice — in the early 2000s, those guys shelved those issues and took care of business and went to Super Bowls.Remind you of anyone else?(To read more, click in the link in the headline above...)Steelers still considering using transition tag on Le’Veon BellBy: Adam Schefter, ESPNThe Pittsburgh Steelers are still considering using their transition tag on Le’Veon Bell http://www.authenticspittsburghsteelers … rry-jersey , which would give them the right to match any offer sheet the free-agent-to-be signs with any other team, a league source told ESPN.The prospect of using the transition tag on the star running back creates an interesting situation, considering the fact that receiver Antonio Brown is likely to be traded, while Bell could possibly be back in Pittsburgh for 2019.Pittsburgh’s decision depends on how much another team would value Bell and whether the Steelers would be willing to match the offer sheet. There also is a battle brewing between the NFL and and NFL Players Association over the value of what the transition tag would be on Bell if the Steelers did use it. Bell and the NFLPA will argue that the transition tag is close to $14.5 million based on the escalating value of tags, and the Steelers and the NFL will say it’s closer to $9.5 million because Bell sat out this past season. No player has ever been in a situation like this. If the league wins the ruling, it will add even more leverage to teams using franchise and transition tags. If the NFLPA wins, it will give players more rights if they decide to skip seasons when tagged.Kansas City Chiefs early favorites to win Super Bowl LIV next seasonBy: Ben Fawkes, ESPNThe New England Patriots are champions for the second time in three seasons after defeating the Los Angeles Rams, but Las Vegas doesn’t believe they are the favorites to win the Super Bowl again next season.Instead, the Kansas City Chiefs and NFL MVP QB Patrick Mahomes are getting oddmakers’ respect. The Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook opened odds to win Super Bowl LIV in early January. The Chiefs had the second-best odds at 7-1, with the Rams as the favorite at 6-1. However, in the weeks since, Kansas City has shifted to the 6-1 favorite there and at multiple other Las Vegas sportsbooks.New England, Los Angeles and the New Orleans Saints have the second-best odds at 8-1 at Westgate. No other team has odds in the single digits. The teams with the next-best odds are the Pittsburgh Steelers, Los Angeles Chargers and Chicago Bearsat 14-1 at the SuperBook. The Cleveland Browns are among six teams with 20-1 odds.”One word: Mahomes http://www.authenticspittsburghsteelers … ell-jersey ,” Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook director John Murray told ESPN, citing why the Chiefs are now the favorite.”We’ve got the Chiefs as the favorite,” vice president of risk at CG Technology Jason Simbal told ESPN. “We’ve taken the most bets and money on them so far.”The story is the same in New Jersey, where the Chiefs are the 6-1 favorites at SugarHouse and DraftKings. Kansas City is the second favorite (9-1) behind New England (8-1) at DraftKings.(To read more, click in the link in the headline above...) Story has inflammation in his right elbow http://www.marlinsfanproshop.com/authentic-starlin-castro-jersey , but there’s no structural damage and the Rockies are hopeful he can return to the lineup in a few days. The All-Star shortstop tweaked his elbow on a throw in the first inning of an 8-2 loss to the Dodgers on Monday night and aggravated it on a swing in the fourth.Rockies manager Bud Black says tests on Tuesday produced “good results.” He says Story has soreness around his joint, but his ligament appears to be in good shape.Black says Story experiences some stress when he swings and throws, but if the inflammation goes down he should be playing again in a few days.Colorado began Tuesday a half-game behind the NL West-leading Dodgers.Story this year became the first shortstop in major league history with at least 40 doubles, 30 home runs and 25 steals in a season. For a team coming off a 66-96 record Miguel Rojas Jersey , the San Diego Padres have to be feeling good about their 2019 outlook after they reportedly agreed to a deal with Manny Machado onTuesday.ESPN's Jeff Passan reported the Padres signed the four-time All-Star. MLB.com's Mark Feinsand added Machado will receive $300 million over 10 years. The Padres tried to expedite their rebuild last offseason by signing Eric Hosmer to play first base. It didn't work out how they hoped, though the long-term outlook for this franchise looks to be high with Machado on board. Padres Projected Starting Lineup1. Ian Kinsler, 2B2. Manny Machado, SS3. Manager Andy Green will have to determine whether to use Tatis or Machado at shortstop, but it's a good problem to have.MLB.com has Tatis ranked as the No. 2 overall prospect. The 20-year-old hit .286/.355/.507 in 88 games at Double-A last season.Machado's arrival gives the Padres a franchise cornerstone to start this season and a bridge to help them compete in the National League West while they wait for those young players to get accustomed to the big leagues.Even though they finished 30 games under .500 last year, the Padres have made themselves into one of the most interesting teams in Major League Baseball.

The Boston Red Sox will formally celebrate their 2018 World Series victory with their fans in a parade that begins at Fenway Park on Wednesday. After 86 years of misery http://www.marinersfanproshop.com/authentic-edgar-martinez-jersey , Red Sox fans have been spoiled with four world championships since 2004. Their victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers this year was nearly a sweep, with the National League champs needing 18 innings in Game 3 to earn their lone win of the series. With 119 combined victories between the regular season and playoffs, the 2018 Red Sox had the second-most wins in MLB history of any team that won a World Series. Only the 1998 New York Yankees (125) were better.Per Kevin Slane of Boston.com, the parade will start 11 a.m. ET Wednesday at Fenway Park and end onStaniford Street near the Government Center. Red Sox Parade Viewing ScheduleDate: Wednesday, Oct. 31Network: MLB NetworkStreaming: MLB.com PredictionsHarry How/Getty ImagesIf someone had told you coming into this MLB season that David Price would end up being the biggest fan favorite during a Red Sox World Series parade, they would have been laughed out of the room.At this time last year, Price seemed like someone the Red Sox were stuck with but really had no fit with the organization. He was getting into heated arguments with the Boston media and told Dan Shaughnessy of the Boston Globehe wouldn't be talking to the media on days he wasn't pitching."I don't talk to the media every day like I did last year and I guess I get blown up for that Nelson Cruz Jersey ," Price told Shaughnessy in June 2017. "But I was honest with everything they asked me last year, and I get blown up for that. So they did this to themselves. Talk to me on the day I pitch and that's it. There are no more personal interviews. There are no more asking me questions on a personal level. That's done."Just 12 months later, Price became one of the biggest playoff heroes in Boston sports history:MLB Stat of the Day MLBStatoftheDayWhat a turnaround for DAVIDprice24. ir0AKgPU4YPrice tossed a combined 13 innings with six hits allowed and one earned run with 14 strikeouts in series-clinching wins over the Houston Astros and Dodgers.Given Price's standing with Sox fans when 2018 started and compared to where it is now, don't be surprised to see him receive the loudest ovation from the crowd if he stands up to speak.Every World Series winner also has the one player who becomes a cult icon for the rest of time. Boston fans have two they can pick from: Nathan Eovaldi and Steve Pearce. Both players were with the team for less than half of the season, but they left an indelible mark.Pearce has the extra hardware on his mantle after winning the World Series MVP award thanks to hitting three homers in the final two games against Los Angeles.FOX Sports: MLB MLBONFOXMiiiiight be time to get those M-V-P chants going.Steve Pearce goes yard AGAIN! g4p96eK2EDEovaldi, who was tentatively set to start Game 4, tossed six innings out of the bullpen in Game 3's 18-inning marathon. The right-hander took a hard-luck loss after giving up Max Muncy's walk-off homer Carlos Ruiz Jersey , but all of his teammates showered his performance with praise."Effortwise, I don't know, World Series, that was one of the best performances probably in the history of the World Series," Red Sox manager Alex Cora told reporters about Eovaldi after Game 3. "I told him how proud I was of him. The effort was amazing...probably one of the best, if not the best, game I've ever been a part of. The effort from both sides. What Nate did tonight http://www.marinersfanproshop.com/authentic-edgar-martinez-jersey , that was amazing. That was amazing."It was an impressive outing on its own, but it looks even more incredible if you factor in that Eovaldi pitched one inning in each of the first two games against the Dodgers. He also recorded four outs in Game 5 against the Astros two days after giving up two runs in a six-inning outing. Both players will be beloved figures in Boston for the rest of their lives, but if you are picking one who will inspire a more rousing round of applause, Pearce gets the slight edge because of his family's connection to the franchise.Per WEEI's Rob Bradford, Pearce spent some of his formative years at the Red Sox's spring training facility watching the team after his family moved to Florida in 1996."I was out there getting all the foul balls," Pearce said. "I would bring them on the bus. I went over to Winter Haven all the time. I used to have so many autographs but then we ended up playing with the balls."MLB history will always remember star players like Mookie Betts, Xander Bogaerts http://www.marinersfanproshop.com/authentic-edgar-martinez-jersey , J.D. Martinez, Andrew Benintendi and Chris Sale. But the once-unheralded studs like Pearce and Eovaldi took this Red Sox team from a dominant regular-season group to a World Series title. Danny Duffy and Reynaldo Lopez will face each other on the South Side todayDuffy has showed some signs of turning the corner as of late, while Lopez has some glaring performance splits.I see a few reasons to bet on this afternoon total that looks slightly off.A nice and (mostly) relaxing win in last night’s Tigers-Astros under 8.5, as Mike Fiers got a little redemption with a quality start after Houston left him off last year’s postseason roster. Re: LES CHAINES ÉNERGÉTIQUES ET L'ENSEIGNEMENT

TORONTO (AP) — Through chattering teeth Chad Bettis Jersey , Charlie Montoyo talked about how good it felt to win for the first time as a major league manager. After Matt Shoemaker and the Blue Jays beat Detroit 6-0 Friday night, Toronto players marked their new skipper’s milestone victory by bundling him into a laundry basket, dragging him into the showers and dousing him with beer.“He got about 50 or 60 cold ones all at the same time,” winning pitcher Matt Shoemaker said. “It was awesome.”Pitcher Marcus Stroman posted video of the impromptu celebration the to his Twitter account. The frosty bath left Montoyo soaking wet and more than a little chilly in his postgame news conference.“I’m freezing,” Montoyo said as he took his place at the podium.Montoyo spent 18 years as a minor league manager and another four as a big league coach with the Tampa Bay Rays before being hired to replace John Gibbons in Toronto.“Now I can retire, I have a win at every level,” he joked.Matt Shoemaker pitched seven sharp innings and Justin Smoak and Freddy Galvis each drove in two runs, a day after the Blue Jays were blanked in a 10-inning loss.Shoemaker (1-0) allowed two hits, walked two and struck out seven. The right-hander signed a one-year deal with Toronto over the winter after spending his first six seasons with the Angels.“He shut us down Jonathan Lucroy Jersey ,” Detroit manager Ron Gardenhire said.Tigers catcher John Hicks said Shoemaker had three pitches working.“He had good action with his fastball, his slider was really good, and the split, too,” Hicks said.Combined with Stroman’s seven scoreless innings Thursday, Shoemaker gave the Blue Jays a team record for consecutive shutout innings by starting pitchers to open the season. Toronto’s previous best was eight innings, set by Jack Morris in 1992.Javy Guerra finished with two perfect innings for Toronto.Matt Boyd (0-1) struck out 10 in five innings. After establishing a team record for futility with a 13-inning scoreless drought to begin the season, the Blue Jays broke through with a four-run fourth. Teoscar Hernandez broke the skid with an RBI single, and Billy McKinney scored from first when center fielder Mikie Mahtook bobbled a bases-loaded single by Galvis.Mahtook also failed to corral Brandon Drury’s leadoff triple in the first inning http://www.rockiesfanproshop.com/authentic-chad-bettis-jersey , although Boyd struck out the next three batters. Those were the first in a stretch that saw Boyd fan seven of nine.Gardenhire said miscommunication was to blame for Detroit’s defensive miscues.“We had that a couple of times,” he said.Smoak made it 6-0 with a two-out, two-run single off Blaine Hardy in the seventh.Detroit’s Nicholas Castellanos was left stranded after a one-out double in the fourth, then got caught in a rundown after reaching on a one-out triple in the sixth.“He kind of hesitated and when he did that, now you’ve got a mess,” Gardenhire said.Castellanos was the only Tigers player to get a hit.“Four hits in two games, that’s not going to score you a lot of runs,” Gardenhire said. “We’ll get there.”ZEROESToronto’s three shutouts in 2018 were the second fewest in the majors. Only Detroit (two) had fewer. The Tigers were blanked an MLB-leading 18 times last year.ALWAYS SPECIALShoemaker, who was born and raised in suburban Detroit DJ LeMahieu Jersey , said he always enjoys facing his boyhood team.“I grew up a Tigers fan” he said. “Cecil Fielder was my guy growing up. It’s a little different excitement pitching against your hometown team.”I KNOW YOUA former Blue Jays prospect, Boyd joined to the Tigers in the deal that sent left-hander David Price to Toronto in July 2015.TRAINER’S ROOMTigers: Minor league RHP Franklin Perez, one of Detroit’s top pitching prospects, is expected to miss four to six weeks because of tendinitis in his right shoulder. Perez missed much of 2018 because of shoulder and back injuries. He was acquired from Houston in 2017 as part of the package for Justin Verlander.Blue Jays: Montoyo said Toronto’s starters will likely be limited to between 80 and 100 pitches per outing through the end of April.UP NEXTTigers: RHP Spencer Turnbull was 1-0 with a 1.80 ERA in five spring training games, including two starts.Blue Jays: RHP Aaron Sanchez has a 1.50 ERA in seven career games against Detroit, four of them starts. NEW YORK (AP) — Catcher Devin Mesoraco is staying with the New York Mets, agreeing to a minor league contract. If added to the 40-man roster, the 30-year-old would get a one-year contract paying at a rate of $1.75 million while in the major leagues. He would have a chance to earn $250,000 in performance bonuses based on games.New York said Thursday that Mesoraco will report to major league spring training. He gives New York another catching option behind starter Wilson Ramos. Mesoraco figures to compete for a backup job with Travis d’Arnaud and Tomas Nido http://www.rockiesfanproshop.com/authentic-chad-bettis-jersey , who are on the 40-man roster.Mesoraco was acquired by New York from Cincinnati on May 8 in the deal that sent former ace Matt Harvey to the Reds. Mesoraco hit .221 last season with 11 homers and 33 RBIs in 229 plate appearances. He was selected the by Reds with the 15th overall pick in the 2007 amateur draft. Mesoraco’s best season was 2014, when he set career bests with 25 homers and 80 RBIs, earning his only All-Star selection. He had a $13 million salary in 2018, the final season on a $28 million, four-year deal.Mesoraco attended Punxsutawney High School in Pennsylvania, in the city of the famed groundhog Punxsutawney Phil.

Re: LES CHAINES ÉNERGÉTIQUES ET L'ENSEIGNEMENT

OAKLAND Travis d'Arnaud Jersey , Calif. — The top two teams in the American League wild-card race meet in a possible postseason preview when the New York Yankees and Oakland Athletics hook up in a three-game series starting with a holiday matinee Monday afternoon.San Francisco Bay Area native CC Sabathia (7-5, 3.36 ERA) of the Yankees and fellow 30-something Trevor Cahill (5-3, 3.60) of the A’s draw the starting assignments in the opener of a series that could go a long way toward determining who hosts the AL wild-card game in October. The Yankees (86-51) will take the field with a 4 1/2-game lead over the A’s (82-56) for the top AL wild-card spot with four weeks remaining in the regular season.Article continues below ...New York took two of three from Oakland in an earlier series in May in which neither Sabathia nor Cahill pitched. The A’s blew a 6-2 lead and lost 7-6 in 11 innings in the turning point of the series after having won the opener 10-5.While the A’s were splitting a key four-game series against the Seattle Mariners, the Yankees on Sunday were completing a disappointing 3-4 homestand against the Chicago White Sox and Detroit Tigers.Sabathia pitched one of the losses, allowing three runs and five hits in six innings in a 4-1 loss to the White Sox on Wednesday. The 38-year-old, who attended the same high school (Vallejo High, about 30 miles north of Oakland) as Coney Island hot dog-eating legend Joey Chestnut, has started 31 games in his career against the A’s, going 11-11 with a 4.55 ERA.He hasn’t often been at his best in his homecomings, going 5-7 with a 5.20 ERA in 16 starts. The Yankees will feature a different look than when the A’s saw them last with the recent acquisition of Andrew McCutchen from the San Francisco Giants.McCutchen has yet to get a hit in two games since joining New York, going 0-for-7.While they await the return of injured stars Aaron Judge, Didi Gregorius and Aroldis Chapman Noah Syndergaard Jersey , the Yankees will get one familiar face back in pinstripes Monday when manager Aaron Boone returns from a one-game suspension that resulted from a tirade against umpire Nic Lentz in Friday’s win over the Tigers.Cahill has never beaten the Yankees in his career, going 0-4 in six meetings, including five starts. Before watching Sunday’s 11-7 loss to Detroit from a suite, Boone noted that he’s expecting to see way more than just a starting pitcher when facing the A’s.“They’ve really bolstered their bullpen. It’s a pen that can shorten games,” Boone said of the recent additions of Fernando Rodney and Jeurys Familia to complement standout Blake Treinen. “They’ve (also) got some young players kind of take that step into stardom a little bit. We know we got our hands full.”The A’s got six solid innings from starter Edwin Jackson in Sunday’s 8-2 win over the Mariners that pushed Seattle 5 1/2 games back in the race for the second AL wild-card spot.A’s manager Bob Melvin was happy his club was able to take care of business against the Mariners, responding to losses Thursday and Saturday with wins Friday and Sunday, with the Yankees headed to town.“Certain times a split feels a little bit better than others,” he said. “This was one of them.” ST. LOUIS (AP) — The St. Louis Cardinals hope a healthy Andrew Miller can help reverse their recent luck with new relievers.Coming off a series of injuries, Miller got a two-year deal with the Cardinals last month. Recent relief signings haven’t worked out too well for St. Louis — Brett Cecil, Luke Gregerson and Greg Holland weren’t able to replicate their past success. At the annual Cardinals Winter Warm Up on Saturday, team President of Baseball Operations John Mozeliak said he was enthused about Miller.“He wants the ball,” Mozeliak said. “One of our stated goals this offseason was to improve our bullpen. Andrew Miller is one of the premier relievers in the major leagues http://www.metsfanproshop.com/authentic-tim-tebow-jersey , and his addition certainly strengthens our bullpen.“He has pitched on the biggest stages in the world. He has pitched at an elite level. His character, his competitiveness and his leadership. All of this has led us to pursuing him this offseason,” he said.Miller, a veteran of 13 seasons in the majors, has been one of baseball’s best left-handed relievers since converting to the role with Boston in 2012. He twice finished among the top 10 in American League Cy Young balloting while with the Yankees and Indians.Being the closer is not something Miller is expecting or seeking this season with St. Louis. He said he can pitch anywhere and doesn’t mind that role.“One thing that makes him unique among most relievers is that he doesn’t care where he pitches,” Mozeliak said. “He wants to pitch high leverage and when it matters the most whether it’s in the fourth inning, the seventh inning or the ninth.”Miller agreed. He believes the whole bullpen should be that way.“Hopefully as a group, that’s what we can kind of bring that to the table. We can be flexible as group and do whatever it takes to win,” Miller said. “That’s the mentality that we have.”The Cardinals don’t have a clear closer at this point. Hard-throwing right-hander Jordan Hicks, who frequently tops 100 mph with his fastball, looms large as an option. Miller can do the job as well.Miller pointed out there’s no designated setup man or closer in the minor leagues. Relievers learned that coming up, Miller said http://www.metsfanproshop.com/authentic-tim-tebow-jersey , and should bring that mindset to the big leagues.“There’s value in knowing what inning you pitch, but I don’t think you need rigid structure roles,” Miller said. “Hopefully, we give him (manager Mike Shildt) a ton of flexibility. In an ideal world, there’s seven guys out there than can pitch to lefties or righties and can pitch early in the game or late in the game. Ideally, that’s what we give him.”Miller was a key member of the Cleveland bullpen in 2016 when it advanced to the World Series. He was voted the MVP of the AL Championship Series that year, striking out 14 in 7 2-3 innings. He was an All-Star in 2017. But he saw his ERA climb to 4.24 in 2018 with the Indians while battling hamstring, knee and shoulder issues that required three stints on the disabled list. The 33-year-old Miller is coming off a season in which he was limited to 34 innings in 37 appearances because of those injuries. The Cardinals are confident Miller is fine. Those health issues were resolved and St. Louis aggressively moved in the offseason to sign Miller.“Given the time he missed and our due diligence on his medical, we felt confident he was going to be the Andrew Miller of two years ago and not the Andrew Miller of last year,” Mozeliak said. “He’s also someone who wants to compete for a winning club. He had other places to go. I think he was excited to compete in our division because of the teams and the lineups we face.”For his part, Miller said he is good to go.“I feel great,” Miller said. “I’ve put in a lot of hard work. It was a frustrating there for a while finding a plan but I feel great. I’m ready to go.”The Cardinals went 88-74 last year and missed the playoffs for the third straight season.Miller Jose Reyes Jersey , who pitched for the Marlins in 2008-10 — mostly as a starter — said coming back to the National League won’t be a big deal.“Honestly, the two leagues are probably more similar now than they’ve ever been,” Miller said. “For me as a reliever, it’s just about getting a guy out. It’s a lot of new faces and that’s always a challenge. As I’ve gotten older and have more experience and that works in my favor. I’m looking forward to it. Certainly this division, on paper, is pretty darn good.”Hitting is not something Miller expects to do in the National League.“I’ve got to bat, we’ve got big problems,” Miller laughed. “I’m not much of a hitter. I don’t expect that to be any positive contribution to the team.”

Re: LES CHAINES ÉNERGÉTIQUES ET L'ENSEIGNEMENT

ORLANDO http://www.angelsfanproshop.com/authentic-zack-cozart-jersey , Fla. (AP) — Baseball owners and players are hoping to invigorate the sport with rule changes, though some of the more radical ideas under consideration are not likely to be adapted for this season.“We would prefer more action and more offense,” St. Louis Cardinals chairman William DeWitt Jr. said Thursday at the owners meetings. “There are always ways to improve the game and speed up the game and speed up the action.”Major League Baseball has proposed that a team not be allowed to bring in a reliever until the previous pitcher has faced three batters or an inning ends. Players want the designated hitter expanded to the National League.MLB wants pitch clocks and further restrictions on mound visits without pitching changes.Strikeouts exceeded hits for the first time last year and the big league batting average dropped to its lowest level since 1972, the year before the American League adopted the DH.“I don’t think any of us are thrilled about more strikeouts and hits,” said Joe Torre, MLB’s chief baseball officer and a Hall of Fame manager. “To me the excitement in our game is basically the potential of things happening on the basepaths.”Management and the players’ association have taken the rare step of a somewhat expansive negotiation in the middle of a collective bargaining agreement. The current five-year deal extends through the 2021 season. While pitch clocks are possible for this season, some changes are more likely to evolve slowly. Players would like the relief pitcher restriction to reach the major leagues in 2020. A DH in both leagues could be considered an economic issue by management, one more ripe for discussion in the next labor contract. The competition committee met Wednesday and the executive council Thursday, and a full owners session is scheduled for Friday. Management proposed changes Jan. 14, the union responded Feb. 1 and the next move is up to MLB.But following three years of attendance drops and with the sport in the midst of the second slow free agent market, both sides are more willing than last offseason to exchange ideas.“It’s important to have dialogue to make the game as compelling as possible for the fans Blake Parker Jersey ,” San Francisco Giants CEO Larry Baer said. “I think we’ve got a great game and I think that with some improvements it will be even a better game.”Analytics have transformed baseball in a short span, leading to more infield shifts and frequent pitching changes that have combined to suffocate offense. Both sides are concerned fan interest is lost during frequent breaks for pitching changes.“I think that’s just in an effort to try not to put the game in a test tube,” Torre said. “I think we still have to discover how maybe young pitchers find out how they can get out of trouble instead of going to rescue them when they get in trouble.”One change in terminology was announced: Deputy Commissioner Dan Halem said MLB is changing the name of its disabled lists to injured lists at the suggestion of advocacy groups for the disabled, including the Link20 Network.Clubs were notified of the change in a Dec. 20 memo to clubs from Jeff Pfeifer, senior director of league economics and operations in the commissioner’s office. The change was first reported by ESPN.“In recent years, the commissioner has received several inquiries regarding the name of the ‘Disabled List,'” Pfeifer wrote. “The principal concern is that using the term ‘disabled’ for players who are injured supports the misconception that people with disabilities are injured and therefore are not able to participate or compete in sports. As a result, Major League Baseball has agreed to change the name ‘Disabled List’ to be the ‘Injured List’ at both the major and minor league levels. All standards and requirements for placement, reinstatement, etc., shall remain unchanged. This change http://www.angelsfanproshop.com/authentic-zack-cozart-jersey , which is only a rebranding of the name itself, is effective immediately.”The major leagues have had disabled lists of 10 and 60 days, plus a seven-day list only for players with concussions. MLB has proposed to the players’ association that the 10-day list go back to a 15-day minimum, its level before 2017. The Los Angeles Dodgers (72-62) will look to bounce back from a series-opening loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks (74-60) on Friday when they host them again as small home favorites at sportsbooks. The Dodgers fell two games behind the Diamondbacks in the race for the National League West title with a 3-1 loss on Thursday. MLB betting line: The Dodgers opened as -121 favorites (wager $121 to win $100); the total is at 7.5 runs, according to sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark. Why the Diamondbacks can pay on the MLB linesArizona got an outstanding pitching performance from Robbie Ray in the series opener, as he allowed four hits and one run with nine strikeouts in 5.1 innings. Next up is ace Zack Greinke (13-8, 2.93 ERA), and the former Dodger is coming off one of his best starts since the middle of July. The 34-year-old did not give up an earned run in 6.2 innings of a 5-2 victory against the Seattle Mariners on Sunday Michael Saunders Jersey , walking two and striking out six. Despite a high 4.38 ERA, he is also 2-0 in two starts versus Los Angeles this year. Why the Dodgers can pay on the MLB linesThe Dodgers will send Hyun-Jin Ryu (4-1, 2.18 ERA) to the mound for just the fourth time since May 2 and hope his recent positive results are an indicator of things to come.Even though the 31-year-old surrendered 11 hits in 5.2 innings to the San Diego Padres last time out on Sunday, he still picked up a win because he only served up a solo homer for one earned run while walking one and striking out eight. He has not given up more than three runs in any of his nine appearances either, making him a solid bet in this spot. Smart betting pickAfter Thursday's loss, Los Angeles has now dropped nine of the 13 meetings between the teams this year, according to the OddsShark MLB Database. If the Dodgers want to win the division and/or make the playoffs, they simply cannot afford to lose many more games like that. The Diamondbacks also have a 1.5-game lead on the Colorado Rockies, and they have not been able to pull away yet. Expect Los Angeles to rebound here and even this series while drawing closer to Arizona in the standings. MLB betting trendsThe total has gone under in each of Arizona's last five games.Los Angeles is 5-1 in its last six games. The total has gone under in six of Los Angeles' last nine games at home. Re: LES CHAINES ÉNERGÉTIQUES ET L'ENSEIGNEMENT

SEATTLE — The Oakland Athletics won their battle with the Tampa Bay Rays for an American League wild-card playoff spot Monday night. And now they become the Rays’ best friend. With just five games remaining after Monday’s 7-3 win at Seattle http://www.yankeesfanproshop.com/authentic-giancarlo-stanton-jersey , the A’s (95-62) need help from the Rays and/or the Boston Red Sox if they are to pass the New York Yankees (96-60) for the AL’s first wild card.Article continues below ...That now becomes the A’s goal, with the holder of the top wild card earning the home-field advantage in the single-elimination game next week. The A’s were able to stay within 1 1/2 games of the Yankees, winners earlier in the evening at Tampa Bay, despite knowing they had already clinched a playoff berth by virtue of the Rays’ loss. The A’s will need a similar businesslike approach when left-hander Brett Anderson (4-5, 3.96) duels with Mariners righty Mike Leake (10-10, 4.10) in the second game of the series on Tuesday night.Presumably, the Oakland clubhouse will have dried after a wild celebration following Monday’s win that assured the A’s first postseason appearance since 2014.“This is not a surprise to anybody in our locker room,” A’s manager Bob Melvin gushed afterward. Oakland had finished 2017 with a 75-87 record, a full 10 games out of the final wild-card spot.“We knew we had (the playoff spot) once the game started Mariano Rivera Jersey , but it was kinda cool to finish it off like this,” Melvin continued. “You want to do it the right way. You don’t want to lose and then go in there and celebrate. This is the way you want to do it.”Jonathan Lucroy, Jed Lowrie, Khris Davis and Matt Chapman homered in Monday’s win, and now they’ll set their sights on Leake, who had shut out the A’s on two hits over eight innings on Aug. 15, two weeks before getting shelled for six runs and 11 hits in 4 1/3 innings in a rematch.Chapman and Stephen Piscotty had first-inning home runs off Leake in a five-run explosion that helped produce a 7-5 victory at a point when the Mariners also were competing for a wild-card spot.Leake has made seven lifetime starts against the A’s, going 1-2 with a 3.48 ERA.Anderson matched Leake pitch-for-pitch for 7 2/3 innings in the Aug. 15 contest, leaving a scoreless game in the bottom of the eighth. The Mariners went on to win the game 2-0 on a Dee Gordon home run in the 12th inning.Gordon also homered Babe Ruth Jersey , just his fourth of the season, in Monday’s loss. He’s gone 3-for-9 without an extra-base hit in his career against Anderson. The 30-year-old has pitched brilliantly at Safeco Field in his career, going 3-2 with a 1.20 ERA in nine games, including eight starts. He’s 8-4 with a 1.82 ERA overall against the Mariners in 18 meetings (17 starts). The Mariners (85-71), who finish the season with four games against Texas, need to win five of their remaining six to reach the 90-win mark for just the sixth time in franchise history, the first time since 1997. A look at what’s happening around the majors Tuesday:SET FREERobinson Cano is set to return from his 80-game suspension for violating baseball’s drug agreement when Seattle plays at Oakland. The All-Star second baseman has been out since May 15, though he’s been playing in the minor leagues for the past week. Cano is ineligible for the postseason if Seattle makes it, but manager Scott Servais hopes the 35-year-old can help the Mariners get there as a versatile piece around the infield. Servais said the team will work Cano in slowly http://www.yankeesfanproshop.com/authentic-giancarlo-stanton-jersey , getting him reps at first, second and third base.“We need to be smart in breaking him in,” Servais said. “He wants to get going, he wants to contribute right away. He’s missed playing, he’s missed his teammates and being around this whole thing. I know he wants to come in and do a lot. But again small little things.”Seattle entered Monday 1 1/2 games behind Oakland for the second AL wild card.ROLLING RONALDRonald Acuna Jr. is the youngest player to homer in four straight games during the live ball era, according to ESPN, and he’ll go for five when Atlanta hosts Miami. Acuna homered to lead off both ends of Monday’s doubleheader against the Marlins, making him the first to do that since Baltimore’s Brady Anderson in 1999 and just the fourth to do it overall, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.MAKING PROGRESSKenley Jansen is back with the Dodgers and preparing to return to action sooner than expected after being diagnosed last week with an irregular heartbeat. Jansen threw a light bullpen session Monday and will also throw Wednesday and Friday this week.
