Watch chilling video of former Tampa Bay Buccaneers player running through glass door
A study released last week revealing 99 percent of the brains donated by families of former NFL players showed signs of chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) rocked the NFL.

This might be even more chilling.

A disturbing video of former Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive tackle Brian Price running through a glass door of an auto parts shop has emerged, and the former player’s wife believes he is suffering from the neurodegenerative disease.

Price sprinted toward the store and ran through the door.,Price, 28,Authentic Dalvin Tomlinson Jersey, played 20 games for the Bucs from 2010-11 before injuries ended the former second-round pick’s career. The incident occurred at a Michigan auto parts store in April when police were called because Price had been disruptive inside the store. After being questioned by police in the parking lot

Bucs defensive tackle Gerald McCoy,Womens Davis Webb Jersey, a five-time Pro Bowl selection who was drafted the same year as Price,Authentic Mark Herzlich Jersey, told the Tampa Bay Times he was concerned for his former teammate’s well-being.

it is scary. It’d be a lie to say this CTE is not scary.”,Authentic Joe Namath Jersey,“Just to see that, it hurts you to your heart,” McCoy said. “If (CTE) is the case

Last week, two days after the CTE study was released, Baltimore Ravens offensive lineman John Urschel abruptly retired at age 26. The team said Urschel’s decision was linked to the results of the study.

Bucs TE O.J. Howard among top 2017 Rookie of the Year Candidates

he ranks Howard No. 10 among the top potential Rookie of the Year candidates heading into the upcoming season.,The Tampa Bay Buccaneers got an absolute steal when they landed tight end O.J. Howard with the No. 19 overall pick in this year’s draft. Howard was originally slated to be a top ten pick but somehow to the Bucs’ good fortune,Womens Evan Engram Jersey,Womens Dalvin Tomlinson Jersey, fell right into their lap in the first round. As a result,Authentic Davis Webb Jersey,Authentic Wayne Gallman Jersey, the Buccaneers are poised to have one of the best offenses in the NFL this year. The rookie tight end is also among the list of 2017 Rookie of the Year candidates. In SB Nation’s Christian D’Andrea’s latest feature

10. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: OJ Howard

but his 4.5-second 40 time and ability to make quick cuts downfield give him the potential to do much more. Cameron Brate’s breakout 2016 season with the Bucs suggests Tampa will find more ways to utilize its athletic tight end than the Crimson Tide ever did.”,Womens Wayne Gallman Jersey,“Howard’s collegiate hype was based more on potential than production,Womens Mark Herzlich Jersey, but his combine numbers were a showcase of the kind of athleticism that will make him a matchup nightmare in the NFL,” D’Andrea wrote. “The Alabama tight end maxed out at 602 receiving yards in a season

Howard is set to bring an immense amount production to the Buccaneers offense and should be the perfect complement to Cameron Brate. The addition of Howard to the Bucs’ soon-to-be lethal receiving corps, should make quite the case for him to be among the top rookies in the league this season and one that will likely be in discussion for the NFL’s 2017 Rookie of the Year.

(4) Vikings Dalvin Cook and (5) Titans Corey Davis. To see how the rest of the rookies in the league were ranked click here.,The top five Rookie of the Year candidates by SB Nation are (1) Jaguars Leonard Fournette, (2) Panthers Christian McCaffrey, (3) Texans DeShaun Watson

Re: LES CHAINES ÉNERGÉTIQUES ET L'ENSEIGNEMENT

Pro Football Hall of Fame 2017 class: LaDainian Tomlinson, Kurt Warner headline inductees

The full Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2017 has been announced, and there are a few surprises. The biggest is that former wide receiver Terrell Owens did not make it, and the class has a pair of inductees from the running back position in both LaDainian Tomlinson and Terrell Davis.

Tomlinson highlights the class,Womens Evan Engram Jersey, which is fully made up of Tomlinson,Womens Dalvin Tomlinson Jersey, defensive end Jason Taylor,Womens Davis Webb Jersey, Davis,Womens Wayne Gallman Jersey, quarterback Kurt Warner and kicker Morten Andersen. As a contributor, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones made it and senior committee nominee and former NFL safety Kenny Easley also made it.

Easley will be the first inducted during the Enshrinement Ceremony on August 5 and it will end with Warner:

Again,Authentic Joe Namath Jersey, Tomlinson is one of the bigger highlights of the class. It’s his first year of eligibility, and he was a no-brainer as he was consistently the best running back in the league for the majority of his career with the Chargers’ organization.

Everyone is a big name, really. Taylor was a defensive end for 15 years in the league, spending 13 of them with the Miami Dolphins. He finished his career with a massive 139.5 sacks. He and Tomlinson were the only players in their first year of eligibility to make the cut down to be among the 15 modern-era finalists. And now both have made it.

Davis is far from being a first-ballot Hall of Fame player. He’s had to wait an awful long time and was consistently passed over, and though many thought it would be difficult for two running backs to make it in the same year, with many suggesting his short career as a reason for him not making it. But Davis was arguably the best back in the league for the seven-year stretch he played in the NFL, he’s in.

Quarterback Kurt Warner has made it, and it was considered only a matter of time. He bounced around like a journeyman quarterback, but he still took two different teams to the Super Bowl.

Interestingly, with reports suggesting he came up just one vote short of the honor. In an era of the NFL where there are more people questioning Roger Goodell than ever before, former commissioner Paul Tagliabue did not make it into the Hall of Fame, Tagliabue’s reign over the NFL has taken on a new meaning.

From 1989 through 2006, Tagliabue led the NFL through a period of major growth, and he mostly stayed away from controversy. It will be interesting to see if he makes it in the future as a contributor.

Jones did make it as a contributor, most notably with the Fox TV deal in 1994,Authentic Dalvin Tomlinson Jersey, and his induction was viewed as a formality given what he’s meant to the NFL over the years. He has helped the league in various ways,Authentic Davis Webb Jersey, and of course he oversaw the Cowboys’ transformation into one of the greatest franchises in the league.

Easley made it in as the Seniors Committee nominee. The former Seattle Seahawks safety was a hard-hitter and was the league’s Defensive Player of the Year in 1984. He did make it after playing just seven seasons,Authentic Wayne Gallman Jersey,Authentic Mark Herzlich Jersey, which was one of the primary arguments against Davis,Womens Mark Herzlich Jersey, interestingly enough.

Former NFL safety John Lynch didn’t make it this year. He was a physically dominant player for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Denver Broncos, and his name took on recent significance as he rejoined the NFL as the general manager of the San Francisco 49ers.

The full list of finalists who did not make it this year include Tagliabue, offensive tackle Joe Jacoby, Owens, Lynch, safety Brian Dawkins, offensive guard Alan Faneca, offensive tackle Tony Boselli, center Kevin Mawae, wide receiver Isaac Bruce and cornerback Ty Law.

Last year’s class was also a big one because it included quarterback Brett Favre, but not only did he fail to make it then, and it was thought that it might be one of the best ever because it also potentially included Owens, he didn’t make it this year.

Re: LES CHAINES ÉNERGÉTIQUES ET L'ENSEIGNEMENT

Contract signed,Authentic Jamal Adams Jersey, rookie Corey Davis joins Titans at camp

Rookie Corey Davis lined up against cornerback Logan Ryan in a 1-on-1 drill and beat the veteran signed away from New England this offseason for a very nice catch.

Fans cheered. Titans coach Mike Mularkey is pretty happy too.

"That set the tone for him,Authentic Morris Claiborne Jersey, builds confidence every day he can do things like that," Mularkey said.

The 6-foot-3, 209-pound Davis practiced Sunday after becoming the last draft pick to agree to a contract, and the fifth overall pick and first wide receiver selected convinced Mularkey he had been preparing for training camp by not stopping a huddle or looking around at a coach to figure out what play had been called.

Davis struggled later in the same drill with tight coverage as he tried to cut back across the field. But the man who set the Football Bowl Subdivision record with 5,285 yards receiving at Western Michigan and became only the second player in FBS history with 52 career touchdown receptions said he knows he has a long way to go.

That's exactly the attitude Mularkey and the Titans want from a wide receiver selected with the highest draft pick by this franchise in 21 seasons in Tennessee. They drafted Davis to give Marcus Mariota a big target and to help improve the passing offense that ranked 25th in the NFL last year averaging 221.3 yards per game. The All-American caught 97 passes for 1,500 yards with 19 TDs as a senior.

Davis immediately stepped into drills with the first-team offense working with Rishard Matthews. Eric Decker, signed after the offseason program ended, also rotated in. But Davis said he's expecting to start the season opener Sept. 10 against the Oakland Raiders.

"Stay healthy, I don't expect anything to be handed to me, go out there and handle my business," Davis said. "So I got to go out there and earn it. But that's my expectations to go out there and be a starter."

Matthews should start after leading the team with 945 yards receiving last season with nine touchdown receptions. The 6-foot-3 Decker has started 75 of the 95 games he's played in his career,Authentic Eric Decker Jersey,Authentic Marcus Maye Jersey, though he is expected to be used largely in the slot. Mularkey said the best part of the Titans bolstering the receiving corps this offseason is that they now have lots of options with receivers who can play each spot on the field.

"That's the beauty of our offense,Authentic ArDarius Stewart Jersey,' but he may line up over where the 'Z' lines up. If he's productive," Mularkey said. "We move guys all around to try to get the best matchups. He's not stuck in one spot. You can call him the 'X, we'll obviously try to get him the ball."

First, Davis has to keep proving he knows the offense and keep building chemistry with Mariota. Both the quarterback and Davis were limited as they recovered from offseason surgeries, and the receiver was allowed to do much more in the team's minicamp to wrap up the offseason program. Mariota only started taking snaps in team drills Saturday with the start of training camp.

Luckily, Davis only missed the opening practice of training camp before agreeing to terms. He already had been in town acclimating to the Tennessee heat and quickly got to the team's headquarters to sign his deal.

"It's getting there, I'll definitely say that, he's a great guy, great leader and he's teaching me a lot. But we still have some ways to go," Davis said. "Just with vet minicamp and OTAs and everything,Womens Joe Namath Jersey,Womens Eric Decker Jersey,Womens Jamal Adams Jersey,Womens Marcus Maye Jersey,Womens ArDarius Stewart Jersey, so we'll see."

Re: LES CHAINES ÉNERGÉTIQUES ET L'ENSEIGNEMENT

Jets Sign WR Thompkins, Waive/Injured S Middleton
The New York Jets have signed wide receiver Kenbrell Thompkins and waived/injured safety Doug Middleton.

Thompkins returns to the Jets after playing seven games with them during the 2015 season. He was waived/injured by New York last September after a groin injury.

With 70 career catches in stops with New England, Oakland and New York, Thompkins steps in as the Jets’ most experienced wide receiver. The team lost projected No. 1 receiver Quincy Enunwa to a season-ending neck injury on Aug. 5.

Thompkins might be best remembered by Jets fans for having the ball knocked from his hands in a Week 17 loss to Buffalo, a game New York needed to win to make the playoffs.

The 29-year-old’s best season came as a rookie with the Patriots in 2013, when he caught 32 passes for 466 yards and four touchdowns.

Middleton tore a pectoral muscle in the Jets’ preseason-opening win over Tennessee.

After spending much of last season on the practice squad, Middleton produced his most memorable moment in the season finale when he recovered a kickoff in the end zone for a touchdown. The score came after Bills returner Mike Gillislee let the kick roll into the end zone, mistakenly thinking it would result in a touchback.

Jets' Mauldin tweaks back, Forte to sit vs. Lions

New York Jets linebacker Lorenzo Mauldin tweaked his back and sat out practice Thursday, leaving him uncertain for the preseason game at Detroit on Saturday night.

Mauldin had been dealing with a back issue earlier during training camp, but returned to the field Wednesday. Coach Todd Bowles said the third-year linebacker was inside receiving treatment during practice Thursday.

Bowles added that he was unsure how long Mauldin would be sidelined, but said that he would likely not play against the Lions.

Running back Matt Forte will also sit out the game as he works his way back from a hamstring injury that has not allowed him to fully practice since July 31.

Fellow running back Bilal Powell returned to practice this week after hurting his neck Aug. 4,Womens Eli Manning Jersey, and is expected to play.

Wide receiver Quincy Enunwa, who is out for the season with a bulging disk in his neck, will have surgery next week. Enunwa was injured when he fell during practice at MetLife Stadium on Aug. 5.

NOTES: Bowles said he hasn't decided what his quarterback rotation will be against the Lions. Josh McCown started the preseason opener against Tennessee,Authentic Landon Collins Jersey, we'll come up with that decision when we meet tonight.'' ... Bowles said the Jets have made contingency plans for Monday's solar eclipse. The Jets usually practice from 1:50 p.m. until about 4:20 p.m., it will be a first. If we need to go inside,Authentic Brandon Marshall Jersey,'' Bowles said. ''We'll meet on it,'' Bowles said. ''If it gets too dark,Authentic Evan Engram Jersey, we will go inside, and the eclipse is expected to be happening during that time. Bowles said one option is the team turning on the lights that surround the Jets' turf field. ''We are talking about certain things, but Christian Hackenberg has seen increased snaps this week. ''We have to talk to the coaches, but we'll probably put some lights on and come out here. I've never seen it so, we will.''

Bill Belichick can't even be bothered to call the Jets by their team name

We know that Bill Belichick once worked for the New York Jets. He knows that we know that he once worked for the New York Jets. And yet, he’s apparently decided to act like it never happened – which is hilarious.

Belichick spoke about his longtime relationship with Texans assistant coach Romeo Crennel,During his Wednesday press conference, he decided to omit a few details about his time spent working for New York’s, other team., as their two teams have been practicing together all this week. While chronicling their time together with different organizations, ahem

“Well,Authentic Eli Manning Jersey, so he and I coached special teams together and then we coached defensively together through 1990,Authentic Odell Beckham Jr Jersey, then another team, and then back with the Patriots in 2001. I’ve relied on him through the years,Womens Odell Beckham Jr Jersey,” Belichick said in comments distributed by the team. “We worked at the Patriots together,Womens Landon Collins Jersey, Romeo and I started together at the Giants in special teams, both with our team when I worked with him,Womens Brandon Marshall Jersey, but even at times outside when we could help each other and it wasn’t a conflict in competitiveness.”

Dang, Bill. There’s just something about the Jets that makes Belichick gag – to the point where he wouldn’t even name them as a past employer. Good thing he isn’t going to be looking for a job anytime soon,Womens Evan Engram Jersey, or he’d have to come up with a believable story about what he was doing from 1997 to 1999.

Re: LES CHAINES ÉNERGÉTIQUES ET L'ENSEIGNEMENT

Refuel and Rearm: The New York Jets Future

following a tragic defeat against the Buffalo Bills in cold upstate New York at the end of the 2015 season,Authentic Wayne Gallman Jersey, that the Jets would release the players that put together one of the best offenses in the franchise’s history,If somebody said that, they would have probably been called insane.

Unfortunately for Jets fans,Authentic Eli Apple Jersey, that is the grim reality entering the 2017 season.

Following the final interception thrown by Ryan Fitzpatrick to A.J. Tarpley, fans of Gang Green had high hopes moving into 2016. Eric Decker and Brandon Marshall were playing like they were five years younger. The Jets inked their record setting quarterback to a multimillion dollar deal. They locked down Muhammad Wilkerson. Veteran running back Matt Forte even joined in place of Chris Ivory. Dead weight was shaved off and things were looking up for New York for the first time since Sanchez led the team to the AFC Championship two years in a row.

the Jets cut everyone who could call themselves a veteran. Fans watched as franchise favorites in center Nick Mangold,Everyone saw how 2016 came and went. A disappointing 5-11 record. Darrelle Revis was a shadow of his former self. Ryan Fitzpatrick threw six interceptions in one game. Authentic Mark Herzlich Jersey,Brandon Marshall was dropping passes. Eric Decker barely played. Suddenly, and other notable stars received their walking papers.

A few stars remain in Matt Forte and Bilal Powell. Former Cowboys Lucky Whitehead and Morris Claiborne joined the stripped down team. The football world has proclaimed the Jets will drag themselves to a 1-15 record. Some predict they will join the 2008 Lions as the second team to lose every single game. The dreaded 0-16 record. It is hard to blame anyone who claims the Jets are tanking for their franchise quarterback.

who looked like a character straight out of Madden, who rallied back in the Rose Bowl to beat Penn State in what was perhaps one of the greatest Rose Bowls of all time. Heisman Winner Lamar Jackson out of Louisville, throwing for over 3,2018 draft appears to be stacked with quarterbacks. USC’s Sam Darnold,500 yards and rushing for another 1,Authentic Dalvin Tomlinson Jersey,571. Baker Mayfield out of Oklahoma and Jake Browning from Washington also make cases to be franchise quarterbacks.

they could turn their franchise around. Even if they decide to dodge drafting another quarterback, there is plenty of talent that the Jets could pursue. They could go defense again,Authentic Davis Webb Jersey,If the Jets had the first overall pick,Womens Wayne Gallman Jersey, following a trend that seems to be a first round tradition for Gang Green.

they will have to fight through the 2017 season. Which is practically over already. There is no question that the Jets can tank,But before the 2018 Draft is even thought about or discussed,Womens Mark Herzlich Jersey, especially with their lack of talent.

But should they?

The Jets could gain a future NFL star by tanking, but football is about winning.Womens Eli Apple Jersey, There will be 53 men left by the time the Jets land in Buffalo on September 10th. Many of them will not have a chance to start anywhere else in the league. That is why “tanking” in the NFL may not work.

The Jets should enter every game with their minds focused on winning. Tom Brady did not win five rings by tanking so the Patriots could draft a better quarterback the next year when Drew Bledsoe was injured.

the quarterback duel remains between Bryce Petty and Christian Hackenberg. Josh McCown is not, and will never be the long term answer. Jalin Marshall, Robby Anderson,At the moment, ArDarius Stewart and Chad Hansen did not play football to tank.

they will have to win first. If the 2017 Jets end with a miserable 2-14 or 1-15 record, not play to lose. If the Jets ever wish to return to the promised land and win another Lombardi Trophy, then so be it. However,The best way for a team to improve is to try and win,Womens Dalvin Tomlinson Jersey, if they fall that far by throwing in the towel before the season even begins,Womens Davis Webb Jersey, then they will only continue in this seemingly endless cycle.

Re: LES CHAINES ÉNERGÉTIQUES ET L'ENSEIGNEMENT

Cowboys proven to be vincible in lopsided home loss

Jalen McCleskey caught the ball from Mason Rudolph,Authentic Dak Prescott Jersey, looking for a play, but what he and his offensive counterparts had put on Saturday.,Authentic Jason Witten Jersey, a miracle or anything

McCleskey looked around and just chucked the ball. The Cowboys had been moving the ball well despite being behind and this was the play that would bring OSU back into the good graces of the fans and media – both who had idolized this offense.

however unlikely it seemed before McCleskey’s throw anyway.,The ball was caught; but not by anyone McCleskey wanted as TCU intercepted it and effectively ended any chance of a comeback

Following any last-ditch efforts to make up for the double pass,Authentic Tyron Smith Jersey, ending the thoughts of an undefeated season and making the dream of a College Football Playoff berth closer to fiction than a reality., OSU lost 44-31 to TCU

because he already wanted to move on. All the coaches and players,Authentic Zack Martin Jersey,OSU coach Mike Gundy knew it, and he owned up to it in the postgame press conference,Authentic Travis Frederick Jersey, wanted to forget the atrocity they had committed Saturday in Boone Pickens Stadium., as well

but you could sense it was something bad as some fans fled toward the exits while others stayed because somehow,Womens Travis Frederick Jersey,It wasn’t exactly a crime, the Cowboys still had a chance to win late in the game.

OSU lost those few chances in the same manner it had throughout the game and the same things Gundy claimed after the game. The No. 6 Cowboys had been outcoached by an underrated No. 16 TCU squad helmed by Gary Patterson. They had been undisciplined on both sides of the ball and most of all, coaches and players both had been not smart.

“They had better plans and their players executed their plans better than we did,” Gundy said.

The Horned Frogs (4-0 overall, Patterson said, 1-0 Big 12) had been disrespected, and Saturday they showed the national media that the unstoppable OSU offense could be stopped, and it wasn’t that hard either.

and Saturday it stuck with the quick drives,OSU had been known for its quick-strike offense, but not for a good reason.

Patterson and the Horned Frogs manhandled OSU in time of possession by being on the field for almost 40 minutes and many times the Cowboys were on the field, they either gave the ball right back to TCU by way of punt or turnover.

When the Cowboys didn’t do that, they made it to midfield and flamed out.

“You want rhythm and you want to go,” OSU offensive coordinator Mike Yurcich said. “Our identity has been tempo, and at the same time keep your defense off the field as much as you possibly can, so we continued to try to go fast at times and when you aren’t moving the ball well, it becomes a factor. That is a heck of a thing.”

The Cowboys (3-1, 0-1) never found that rhythm as the offense struggled mightily whether it was running back Justice Hill failing to find consistency or quarterback Mason Rudolph looking out of sync most of the game.

There was expected to be some slowdown given that starting right tackle Zach Crabtree was out with turf toe and right guard Larry Williams was lost for the season prior to the matchup. However, no one expected this amount of ineptitude.

OSU ran for 101 yards compared to 238 for the Horned Frogs, a number that Gundy characterized as abysmal.

many times the offense had chances to get something going,Womens Dak Prescott Jersey,However, the defense had double to stop TCU’s momentum.

the Cowboy defense failed,Womens Jason Witten Jersey,Time and time again on third down, with the Horned Frogs converting 11 of 19 and 10 of 14 before a valiant effort to get back in the game ended with McCleskey’s pass.

Chad Whitener,Womens Tyron Smith Jersey, admitted there wasn’t anything TCU quarterback Kenny Hill was doing, the redshirt senior leader of the OSU linebacking corps,Womens Zack Martin Jersey, but he and the defense ultimately still failed.

“They came with a really good scheme and executed better than we executed our defense,” Whitener said.

The offense and defense were outperformed,Authentic Cole Beasley Jersey, but the OSU special teams were part of the “not smart” comments of Gundy’s presser.

redshirt freshman cornerback Rodarius Williams dove for the ball though it was supposed to be a fair catch situation,The Cowboys had some momentum at one point early in the first quarter with the defense forcing TCU to punt. On the punt return, Gundy later explained.

These situations didn’t help with the hole OSU was trying to get out of and though it did eventually take its only lead of the game later,Womens Cole Beasley Jersey, the defense would never have that success later when it counted.

I don’t know why,“I just saw the ball and tried to make a play for some reason,” Williams said.

Many of the plays the Cowboys had Saturday were ones that made many say the same thing, “I don’t know why.” Gundy said they can’t let the one game define them.

he just wants to focus on getting better and hopefully having his team perform so that down the road,Although the road to the Cowboys’ lofty dream has become a lot harder, he wont have to rely on a low-percentage trick play.

“It will make it difficult to come back (to the CFP hunt),” Gundy said. “We are still going play teams that are ranked really high and we have a chance to play well. … We’ve got guys that are really good players and we have areas where we are young, but I don’t think any time you are completely out, When you’re like that, each week is a challenge.”

Cowboys rookie could give Scott NRL ring

And it could be a happily ever after because North Queensland rookie Corey Jensen says he would consider giving Scott his premiership ring should they win next week's NRL grand final.

Jensen stands as the man most likely to make way for Scott should the co-captain complete a stunning return from a knee reconstruction to face Melbourne.

But if Cowboys coach Paul Green sticks with the same 17 players that got them to this point, then Jensen knows he would have to think about giving up his individual prize.

to be honest,"It's a hard one," Jensen tells AAP.

"He's been there. Even though he hasn't played since round two, he's been there for support for the whole year. I couldn't do it without him."

While Scott has worked hard for five months to make himself available for the biggest week on the NRL calendar, Jensen has been at it for almost five years.

two hours south of Cowboys headquarters,A local junior from Bowen, the former vice-captain of their under-20s team was turned away from the club at the end of 2014.

He didn't get his second chance until last summer.

Re: LES CHAINES ÉNERGÉTIQUES ET L'ENSEIGNEMENT

Terrelle Pryor makes incredible catch during practice

and he's getting it done in practice.,Terrelle Pryor is starting to come in to his own for the Washington Redskins

keeping both feet in pounds while securing the catch for what would have been a touchdown.,The wide receiver reeled in a remarkable catch over Bashaud Breelend in the back corner of the end zone during Thursday's practice

it could be poised to happen on Sunday.,Authentic Taylor Lewan Jersey,t's only a matter of time until Pryor begins showing exactly what he's capable of during games. After his breakout Redskins performance against the Chiefs on Monday Night Football

Redskins insist they're not underestimating winless 49ers

coach Jay Gruden wanted to get a message across., When the Washington Redskins began preparing to face the 0-5 San Francisco 49ers

" Gruden told his players.,Womens Brian Orakpo Jersey,"They're four plays away from being 4-1

That may be the hyperbole of a coach trying to keep his team from overlooking a winless opponent, though San Francisco is the first team since the 1994 Houston Oilers to lose four consecutive games by three points or fewer. So the Redskins,Womens Rishard Matthews Jersey, despite being heavy favorites at home Sunday, insist they aren't taking the 49ers lightly.

"It doesn't matter what the record is,Womens Ben Jones Jersey, they're going to come in here ready to play," linebacker Mason Foster said. "You can't look at anybody's record because everybody's a big-time player in this league. So you've got to come with it and watch the film, man,Womens DaQuan Jones Jersey, get ready for a dogfight, because that's what every NFL game's going to be."

Since a 23-3 loss to Carolina in their opener, the 49ers have fallen in their past four games by a combined 11 points. Coach Kyle Shanahan, the Redskins' offensive coordinator from 2010-13, said it's a challenge to remain focused amid so many close losses.

"It does wear on you," Shanahan said. "We were close in a bunch of those games, but we still lost. You have to sit there and figure out why and how you can figure out how to do better longer. It's nice to be in these games and have a chance to win, but we have got to get over that hump and find a way to finish one."

Quarterback Brian Hoyer isn't quite sure if losing tight games is demoralizing or encouraging. But he does believe scoring 10 points in the final eight minutes of the fourth quarter last week in an overtime loss at Indianapolis gives the 49ers something to build on.

" Hoyer said. "I know that our opportunities are there. At some point we just have to take the bull by the horns and execute and take it on our own accord and just go out and do it.","We know how close we are

Here are some things to watch for when the Redskins host the 49ers:

A tumultuous time in Washington helped prepare Shanahan for the Atlanta Falcons' crushing Super Bowl loss, this rough start to his head-coaching tenure, and much more. Working under his father, who was the head coach, Mike, Kyle dealt with the saga surrounding Robert Griffin III and other drama with the Redskins.

" Shanahan said. "I went through some stuff as a coordinator that most people don't go through until they become a head coach. And I watched some head coaches go through things for the first time and I can see it bothers them,"I thought I got extremely battle-tested in Washington, and I'm like, `Man, I've been going through this for a long time."

The 49ers are expected to get a big boost on defense this week with the return of rookie linebacker Reuben Foster. Foster sprained his ankle in the first quarter of the opener against Carolina, Jonathan Allen.,Womens Quinton Spain Jersey, but he made a big impact in his brief play. Foster had three tackles and a pass breakup in 11 plays before the injury. Gruden said Foster was his second-favorite defensive player in the draft behind his own first-round pick

"He can run, he can hit, he can cover,Authentic Brian Orakpo Jersey," Gruden said. "He can do everything you want a linebacker to do. So I think he's force."

Redskins cornerback Josh Norman is out with a fractured rib, pushing Bashaud Breeland,Authentic Rishard Matthews Jersey, Kendall Fuller, a converted receiver,Authentic Ben Jones Jersey, Quinton Dunbar and rookie Fabian Moreau into bigger roles. Dunbar, could start across from Breeland.

"He thinks he can cover anybody,Authentic DaQuan Jones Jersey, anywhere, anytime," Gruden said. "He's been out here at practice covering DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon last year, and this year with all these other guys. He's just, `Line `em up,' he's just bump and run. That's the mindset that he has and that's a great mindset to have."

but a sore hip and a fumble led to Breida getting more chances. Hyde had eight carries for 11 yards in the game.,Shanahan went to more of a rotation at running back last week with undrafted rookie Matt Breida getting 10 carries for 49 yards and adding three catches for 22 yards against the Colts. Carlos Hyde had gotten more than two-thirds of the carries the first four weeks

" Shanahan said. "We felt like Breida was going better at the time.","We ended up just going with the hot hand

Redskins tight end Vernon Davis spent his first nine-plus seasons in San Francisco, but the Washington native has kept his career going at age 33 with a touchdown this season and two last year., catching 55 touchdown passes during his prime. The 49ers traded Davis to Denver in 2015

"I go out and I try to compete at a high level and I do my best to help these guys win games," Davis said. "As far as everything else, as far as playing at a high level at this point, I've always had faith and kept my faith."

Could the Redskins be entering a 'Trap Game' against the 49ers?

the Burgundy and Gold need to be careful not to overlook the gritty 49ers.,The 2-2 Washington Redskins will be in the comforts of their own home for this Sundays Week 6 match-up against the 0-5 San Francisco 49ers. With the first four weeks of their NFL season being a tough slate of games

Sticking to the formula of being physical in the trenches and establishing balance by staying with the rushing attack even when it doesn’t produce an abundance of yards will be a key component in the game.

are eighth in yards per rushing attempt only allowing 3.6 yards.Authentic Quinton Spain Jersey, It is clear though that their defense can be worn down as they are 19th in rushing yards per game (116.6) and 30th in opponents rushing touchdowns per game (7.8).,The 49ers defensively

If Washington can replicate success in the run game, Jamison Crowder and Terrelle Pryor. The 49ers defense is allowing 7.1 yards per pass and has been very susceptible to the deep ball., this could open up opportunities for some big plays out of wide receivers Josh Doctson

Despite San Francisco’s record, it will be imperative for the Redskins to not fall into the trap of overlooking a team because of its record.,Womens Taylor Lewan Jersey, they have had an opportunity to win four out of their first five games losing them by three points or less. With that being said

Re: LES CHAINES ÉNERGÉTIQUES ET L'ENSEIGNEMENT

Josh Norman is hitting the weights less than two weeks after sustaining a rib injury.

The Redskins cornerback took to Twitter Thursday to document his workout session. It's good news for Redskins fans, since Norman seems to be healing quickly.

Initially, the diagnosis was that Norman would be out 2-4 weeks, and Norman said Friday he would miss about four weeks of playing time due to the fractured rib.

MORE: Josh Norman says he'll miss four weeks following rib injury

According to The Washington Post, Norman underwent tests Monday to get a better prognosis, but the fact that he is back in the weight room already shows he will likely return to the field sooner than four weeks.

Norman sustained the injury in Week 4 against the Chiefs. The Redskins had a bye last week and will be without Norman this Sunday against the 49ers.

Josh Doctson hasn’t played a game in a Redskins uniform since last September. He had hoped to change that last Thursday in the preseason opener but, four days before that game, hurt his hamstring in practice.

Doctson may have to wait another week but he took a step forward Wednesday, getting back on the practice field in pads as the Redskins returned home after more than two weeks of training camp. Doctson wasn’t a full participant in practice, but did individual drills. It’ll be up to the Redskins training staff whether he plays Saturday against the Packers.

“Tomorrow we’re going to try to see how much more he can do and then we’ll make a decision on Saturday whether or not we can put him in or not,” Redskins coach Jay Gruden said.

If he is active, Doctson still won’t play much Saturday. The Redskins will be cautious with their entire starting offense, but Doctson in particular. Doctson missed all but two games as a rookie last year due to persistent Achilles tendon problems that were never clearly diagnosed.

The Redskins also had receiver Jamison Crowder as a full participant Wednesday. Crowder had already made his return to practice after missing the majority of training camp with a hamstring injury, but took on a greater workload. Crowder did punt return drills, all receiver drills and was in with the starting

Bills, namely Amari Cooper, it's still tough to pull the trigger on actually sitting your high draft picks., Cowboys,Bye weeks (Bengals, Sterling Shepard, Brandon Marshall) cast a pall on our Week 6 fantasy WR rankings, but let's face it -- the biggest downers are some guys who are still in the rankings, Seahawks) and injuries (Jordy Nelson, and Martavis Bryant. These busts are probably sending owners to the waiver wire looking for some one-week sleepers, DeVante Parker, Sammy Watkins, and while there are always candidates

but we know he's talented,As you can see,Authentic Taylor Lewan Jersey, we rank that trio right on the WR3 border, and fantasy football is all about looking forward, with Cooper being the highest thanks to a great matchup and possibly getting his starting QB back. It's likely most owners won't want to start him after three straight games with fewer than 10 receiving yards, not back. Sitting him this week doesn't retroactively erase the zeroes you've taken the past three weeks.

and Brandon Marshall (ankle) in our rankings (Update: Not Marshall),Womens Taylor Lewan Jersey,For now, we have DeVante Parker (ankle), but all three are highly questionable for this week's games. The same goes for Jordy Nelson, Sterling Shepard (ankle),Authentic Rishard Matthews Jersey, who came up with a sore hamstring late in Green Bay's Week 5 win against Dallas.

Through four games last season, Jamison Crowder had nearly 200 receiving yards on 18 catches and two touchdowns.

Through four games this season, Jamison Crowder has just over 100 receiving yards on 14 catches with zero touchdowns.

it hasn't happened,In his third season with the Redskins,Womens Ben Jones Jersey, many expected a breakout campaign for Crowder this year after the departure of Pierre Garcon and DeSean Jackson from the 2016 offense. So far, and Washington head coach Jay Gruden took some of the blame.

"I think you'll see more of Jamison Crowder hopefully. He is one of our best skill players. We have got to get him more involved in the offense. That is partly my fault, to get more balls targeted for him," the coach said.

Injuries might be a factor, "a little bit, and his name has popped on and off injury reports for a few weeks. Gruden said injuries could be a part of Crowder's production, in Crowder's slow start. The wideout has dealt with a hamstring strain as well as a hip issue in the early parts of the season, too, possibly," but the coach also wants to get more passes his way.

whatever it might be,"Whether it's quick game, whether it's getting the ball out in space somehow, I have got to get the ball to him in space more often and get him in the flow early, bubble screen," Gruden said.

It's also worth pointing out the Redskins offense has shown a renewed commitment to the run game this year.

In their first four games last season, the Redskins ran the ball 85 times for 372 yards.

In their first four games this season, the Redskins have run the ball 116 times for 520 yards.

Cousins threw the ball 151 times. 30 fewer throws in four games,In turn, Cousins has 121 pass attempts. In the first four games last season, Kirk Cousins has thrown the ball much less. In four games this year, that works out to almost eight less pass plays per game.

Looking at all the factors, it's good of Gruden to shoulder some blame for Crowder's slow start. That's what good coaches do. But it doesn't seem particularly accurate.

The Redskins have been running more, throwing less, and Crowder is fighting through nagging injuries as well. Much of that could change Sunday against the Niners.

The Washington Redskins’ Week 4 game in Kansas City against the Chiefs was tough for more reasons than just the loss. Washington came away from the defeat with numerous injuries to key players. Coming off their bye now and looking toward hosting the San Francisco 49ers this Sunday,Womens Rishard Matthews Jersey things aren’t looking as good for the Redskins on the injury front as they would like.

S Deshazor Everett (hamstring),Those banged up versus KC were CB Josh Norman (rib fracture), LT Trent Williams (knee), WR Josh Doctson (shoulder) and RB Rob Kelley (ankle).

after today’s normal Wednesday practice,Granted,Authentic Quinton Spain Jersey, it’s still early this week but, coach Jay Gruden sounded weary as he listed the inventory of hurt players.

S Deshazor Everett,Those he said did not participate were: Norman (still with the rib),Authentic Brian Orakpo Jersey, LB Zach Brown (illness), (hamstring), OL Ty Nsekhe (core muscle), RB Rob Kelley (ankle) and LT Trent Williams (knee). Safety D.J. Swearinger (hamstring) was limited.

Fortunately,Womens Brian Orakpo Jersey, WR Josh Doctson (shoulder) did practice fully.

this hasn’t necessarily kept him out of a game,Authentic Ben Jones Jersey,Williams has always tried to play through injuries and Gruden said it was possible the Pro Bowler would play Sunday. But he also said that they’d have to wait and see how he progresses throughout the week. Apparently, while in the past, Williams is still sore and,,Authentic DaQuan Jones Jersey, whether he will play against San Fran is uncertain. The trainers will work with him all week and evaluate him Friday and/or Saturday.

Brown is dealing with what Gruden called a ‘lingering bug’ and his status will be day-to-day. Womens Quinton Spain Jersey,The coach said (with his usual dry humor) that he hoped it wouldn’t ‘linger that long.’

Kelley’s injury is a tough one… the ankle isn’t doing well.

Sustained in the first half of the game against the Chiefs, the RB left the field and never returned. He spent the portion of practice the media could watch working on the sidelines with trainers.

” Gruden said after practice. “I think he’s going to have to make major strides,“For Rob, it’s probably a long shot this week,Womens DaQuan Jones Jersey, which… it’s already Wednesday so… it’s not looking great. But Rob is a tough guy. We’ll have to wait and see.”

If Kelley is not healthy enough to play Sunday, expect rookie RB Samaje Perine to get the starting nod along with veteran Chris Thompson (of course). No doubt, fan-favorite Mack Brown will be active as well.

Re: LES CHAINES ÉNERGÉTIQUES ET L'ENSEIGNEMENT

Redskins mailbag: Washington's playoff chances, more, Josh Norman injury impact

but they’re now back on their regular routine. The players have the day off before returning to practice on Wednesday in preparation for a home game Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers.,The bye week is over. The Redskins returned to work Monday for a short practice

With the early and much-needed off week, with a crucial four-game stretch ahead that includes two NFC East games., Washington will now go 12 straight weeks without a break to finish the season. The 2-2 start has some already thinking about its playoff chances in mid-October

we’ll gauge where this team ranks in the NFC,We’ll receive more clarity on the playoff picture in the coming weeks, but for now, and how Josh Norman’s injury affects the secondary., the biggest surprises and disappointments so far

It’s still early to write them off in the NFC East division race. Following the bye week,Womens Wesley Woodyard Jersey, who had an impressive victory over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday., the Redskins are 1.5 games behind the Philadelphia Eagles

But whether it’s the division or wild card race, they punked the Oakland Raiders at home and stood toe-to-toe with the Kansas City Chiefs (the only undefeated team in the NFL at 5-0) on the road in a close loss.,Authentic Avery Williamson Jersey, the Redskins have the talent to reach the playoffs based on the level at which they played during their last three games. They grinded out a low-scoring game against what appears to be a good Los Angeles Rams team on the road

We’ll find out whether they’ll make a playoff push during the second quarter of the season. It starts on Sunday when the Redskins host the 49ers, the Redskins must win this game., a team that is winless through five games. As desperate as San Francisco might be

and they’ll need to win this game as well to improve their chances at a NFC East title. They’ll host the Cowboys on short rest in Week 8,Womens Avery Williamson Jersey,The following week, then travel cross-country to Seattle to face the Seahawks., Washington travels to Philadelphia for a Monday night contest. The Redskins lost to the Eagles at home in the season opener

there are nine NFC teams at either 2-3,Authentic Brett Kern Jersey,By no means is this an easy stretch, and it becomes even more difficult with the amount of injuries they’re currently facing. After Week 5, or 3-2. I would think the Redskins would need to go no worst than 2-2 over the next four games to put themselves in position for a playoff push during the second half of the season., 2-2

particularly with rookie Jonathan Allen and second-year lineman Matt Ioannidis. They’ve recorded a combined 10 quarterback hits with the pressure they’ve created up the middle.,Womens Derrick Morgan Jersey,The biggest surprise has been what we thought was a glaring weakness. Washington’s defensive line has been impressive

the defense finished 24th in that category. Four games is still a small sample size,Washington has also improved significantly against the run. It enters Week 6 ranked 10th, but it’s a great start and a significant improvement from what we’ve seen over the last few years. Defensive line coach Jim Tomsula has done a great job with this unit., allowing just 88.8 yards in four games. Last year

Chris Thompson has also been a big surprise. He currently leads the team with 235 receiving yards and is second with 142 rushing yards — just a yard behind rookie Samaje Perine, Thompson has remained a great third-down back with his ability in pass protection as well. It’s been just a great performance overall., with 26 fewer carries. Thompson has accounted for four of Washington’s nine offensive touchdowns this season. Beyond his offensive production

Outside of Thompson, pass protection or simply chemistry. While Terrelle Pryor Sr. continues to find a rhythm with Kirk Cousins, the passing game has been a bit disappointing. They’ve been inconsistent, whether that’s because of injuries, Jordan Reed and Jamison Crowder have been very quiet. Reed dealt with a chest injury he suffered in Week 2 against the Rams. He missed the following game against the Raiders and was limited in Week 4 against the Chiefs to just passing downs. Crowder was slowed down by a hamstring injury against the Chiefs, timing, and Josh Doctson attempts to display consistency in practice that will result in more playing time, but he’s only had 14 catches for 106 yards through four games. Crowder has also lost two fumbles on punt returns as well.

however,The expectation is that Norman will be out two to four weeks with a rib fracture. He underwent more tests on Monday, and the Redskins are expected to have a better idea of his progress later this week. Knowing Norman, in a close game where Norman felt he could’ve helped the defense out in the second half., he’s going to do whatever he can to make sure he doesn’t miss four games. He was extremely disappointed he couldn’t play with his teammates against the Chiefs

filling in for an injured cornerback,In the meantime, the Redskins should slide in Quinton Dunbar as the outside cornerback to replace Norman. Dunbar has been through these situations before, according to Pro Football Focus., and he’s fared well given the circumstances. He allowed just three catches for 14 yards on five targets against the Chiefs

especially since Norman will be out for just a few weeks.,That’s not to say Kendall Fuller doesn’t have the ability to play on the outside. He’s just played so well in his nickelback role that it would be best to keep him there

but Redskins Coach Jay Gruden has been adamant about the situation. Doctson needs to show more in practice to receive more snaps during the game. He clearly has the talent,Doctson has made some tough grabs, but the Redskins need him to be reliable as well., and made an acrobatic attempt on what could’ve been the game-winning touchdown catch against the Chiefs

Injuries play a part in reliability,Authentic Wesley Woodyard Jersey, but Doctson did participate during Monday’s practice. We’ll see how healthy he is over the next few days., too. Doctson has dealt with a lingering hamstring issue that listed him on the injury report for the first three weeks of the season. He injured his shoulder on that touchdown catch attempt

Cousins is thriving yet again in Washington, Patrick Mahomes,Authentic Ryan Succop Jersey, yet again somehow on the franchise tag for a second straight year and in line for another massive payday, in the draft, after the Chiefs made a blockbuster trade to move up and select his replacement,Womens Jurrell Casey Jersey, whether in Washington or somewhere else. And Smith, is playing like an MVP in Kansas City and more than staving off any talk about a changing of the guard with the Chiefs.

one of the best evaluators in the business and someone intrinsically tied to both Smith and Cousins. He drafted Smith first overall when he was running the 49ers and he was a primary cog in the decision to have Cousins replace Robert Griffin III as the starter in Washington a few years back when he was Redskins general manager. Given the lack of quality passers in the NFL and the unending need for them,With both of these quarterbacks on my mind,Authentic Derrick Morgan Jersey, I couldn't help but think about longtime NFL executive Scot McCloughan, with both possibly playing elsewhere in 2018., the play of Smith and Cousins will continue to be scrutinized this season

Washington is playing very good football and Cousins is making plays. The Redskins are in the hunt for now and after paying Cousins $44 million the past two seasons,Seems to me,Womens Brett Kern Jersey, owner Dan Snyder is in a bind again., the Skins have little option but to reward Cousins again if he keeps up close to what he is doing. Even without Pierre Garcon and DeSean Jackson and tight end Jordan Reed banged up and no proven cogs in the run game

and San Francisco coach Kyle Shanahan (who drafted Cousins,The possibilities are as follows: Transition tag Cousins at roughly $29 million or franchise him again at close to $35 million and play it out for one more year; tag him as a precursor to a trade; give him a massive long-term deal; or let him walk for a 2019 compensatory pick. We've already reached bizarro-land in this saga, but even by Redskins standards that fourth option is unfathomable. And with the Redskins hosting the 49ers on Sunday, what better time to see what McCloughan thought of the situation., developed Cousins and is laying in the weeds to try to acquire Cousins in 2018) returning to Washington this weekend

because they have some young guys coming up in Washington that they're going to have to take care of,"They're in tough spot, or they're going to lose them.,Authentic Jurrell Casey Jersey," McCloughan told me on my "B-more Opinionated Podcast" (find it on iTunes or here). "But the thing about it is you'd rather be a in a tough spot and have someone you think can get you where you want to get to than not be there. But also with the financial investment involved -- because this is the first time ever in back to back years a quarterback has been tagged and in the third year the price tag of course is immense … it's also the other 52 [players] that you have to worry about

"With the cap you're only allotted so much, and he's all about the team. But they're in a unique situation and they're going to have to say, and once you start investing too much at a certain position, it affects the rest of the team. But quarterback is hugely important, and Kirk is a great guy, and tag him again, 'If we do this, he's all about ball. He's there every day working hard every day, Womens Ryan Succop Jersey, there's a good chance we lose three to six guys that we like.' … You can't afford them all if you start investing that much in that position."

McCloughan agreed that letting Cousins walk is crazy. It's virtually certain Cousins wouldn't sign before the franchise/tag window,When I asked him to assume his GM hat, though, I would be going heavy on at least the transition tag., and no trades can be made until the league year resumes in March. This is very likely headed back in the direction of another tag. If I lived in Vegas and someone took prop bets on this

Re: LES CHAINES ÉNERGÉTIQUES ET L'ENSEIGNEMENT

A look at why Browns OT Joe Thomas could be a good fit on the Seahawks

There’s no denying it. The Seattle Seahawks need help with their offensive line, and reports of interest in Duane Brown and Branden Albert could mean the Seahawks are on the hunt for some upgraded talent.

One possible scenario presented by Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk is for the Cleveland Browns to entertain a trade for offensive tackle Joe Thomas before the Nov. 1 NFL trading deadline.

There has been speculation that the Browns could trade the 10-year veteran, especially while his stock is still high. Thomas, is currently ranked as the NFL’s best left tackle this season by Pro Football Focus., 32

Florio says the Seahawks could be a team in the mix for acquring a skilled player like Thomas. That is, if the Browns are interested in trading him.

“This year, teams like the Seahawks could/should be interested in adding Thomas in order to shore up questionable blocking units, confirming what everyone knows–the line needs help.”,” Florio said. “Indeed,Authentic Cliff Avril Jersey, Seattle has been flirting with free agent Branden Albert

The Seahawks could use a player with Thomas’ skill set on the offensive line, specifically at the left tackle position. Starting tackle George Fant was injured during the preseason and underwent season-ending ACL surgery.

Second-year tackle Rees Odhiambo,Authentic Mike Alstott Jersey, 25, but his skillset and run-blocking abilities definitely lend themselves to him being a better guard.,Authentic Jameis Winston Jersey, has become Seattle’s second option

Left guard Luke Joeckel, underwent “clean up” knee surgery during the bye week and is considered out for the time being., who can also play left tackle when needed

Thomas,Authentic Doug Martin Jersey, who is likely on his way to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, the left tackle has been selected for the Pro Bowl every season since entering the NFL in 2007 and is a seven-time First Team All Pro selection., has played 11 seasons and a total of 10,Authentic T.J. Ward Jersey,262 consecutive snaps on offense. A consistently elite performer

He is one of two NFL tackles, who has not allowed a sack in over 200 pass-rushing snaps., the other being Seahawks right tackle Germain Ifedi

Of course,Authentic Nick Folk Jersey, the odds don’t look too favorable for the Seahawks., a Thomas trade is all speculation until the Browns decide to make a move. And considering Cleveland has no replacement for Thomas

Richard Sherman reacts as Aaron Rodgers injures shoulder in game vs. Vikings

It’s a bye week for the Seattle Seahawks, players are sitting around the television just like us watching football., which means on Sunday

One game that’s on at Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman’s house is the Green Bay Packers vs. Minnesota Vikings Week 6 matchup.

In the first quarter of Sunday’s game, Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers took a hard hit from Vikings linebacker Anthony Barr after a throw and was carted to the locker room.

Sherman, took to Twitter to send Rodgers well-wishes., who watched the incident unfold

“Damn I hope Aaron Rodgers is OK,” Sherman said in the post. “The league is better when he’s healthy. Praying for you.”

The Seahawks and Packers aren’t exactly friendly rivals on the field, but Sherman can certainly appreciate Rodgers’ greatness and what he brings to the NFL.

As for Rodgers, the quarterback is currently listed as questionable to return with a shoulder injury against the Vikings.

The Seahawks and Packers last met in September to open the season, but could potentially see one another in the playoffs come January., when Rodgers and his team celebrated a 17-9 win. The two teams are not expected to meet this season

After scoring only 10 points in last week’s loss to the Seahawks, seven for touchdowns, the Rams and quarterback Jared Goff will attempt to get back on track. Goff had two passes intercepted and also fumbled before nearly pulling out the victory. He is completing 61% of his passes, with three interceptions. Goff has been sacked six times. Todd Gurley, had only 16 against the Seahawks. He has rushed for 405 yards and four touchdowns and has 22 receptions, who had been averaging nearly 27 touches, three for touchdowns. Tavon Austin scored on a 27-yard run against the Seahawks. Coach Sean McVay spoke to Sammy Watkins this week after the receiver expressed frustration on social media about his role. Watkins did not catch a pass against the Seahawks. Rookie Cooper Kupp also wants to put last week behind after letting a potential game-tying touchdown pass bounce off his hands. Tight end Tyler Higbee is averaging 16.6 yards per catch. Former UCLA linebacker Myles Jack is the leading tackler for a Jaguars defense that has forced an NFL-high 15 turnovers. Ends Donte Fowler and Yannick Ngakoue each have four sacks for a unit that has a league-leading 20. Cornerbacks Jalen Ramsey and A.J. Bouye lead the secondary.

The Jaguars are the top rushing team in the NFL, seven for touchdowns, averaging 165.2 yards. Rookie Leonard Fournette has rushed for a team-best 466 yards and five touchdowns. Re: LES CHAINES ÉNERGÉTIQUES ET L'ENSEIGNEMENT

A look at why Browns OT Joe Thomas could be a good fit on the Seahawks

and reports of interest in Duane Brown and Branden Albert could mean the Seahawks are on the hunt for some upgraded talent.,There’s no denying it. The Seattle Seahawks need help with their offensive line

One possible scenario presented by Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk is for the Cleveland Browns to entertain a trade for offensive tackle Joe Thomas before the Nov. 1 NFL trading deadline.

There has been speculation that the Browns could trade the 10-year veteran, 32,Womens T.J. Ward Jersey, is currently ranked as the NFL’s best left tackle this season by Pro Football Focus., especially while his stock is still high. Thomas

if the Browns are interested in trading him.,Womens Jameis Winston Jersey,Florio says the Seahawks could be a team in the mix for acquring a skilled player like Thomas. That is

teams like the Seahawks could/should be interested in adding Thomas in order to shore up questionable blocking units,“This year,” Florio said. “Indeed, Seattle has been flirting with free agent Branden Albert, confirming what everyone knows–the line needs help.”

The Seahawks could use a player with Thomas’ skill set on the offensive line, specifically at the left tackle position. Starting tackle George Fant was injured during the preseason and underwent season-ending ACL surgery.

Second-year tackle Rees Odhiambo, 25, but his skillset and run-blocking abilities definitely lend themselves to him being a better guard., has become Seattle’s second option

Left guard Luke Joeckel,Womens Cliff Avril Jersey, underwent “clean up” knee surgery during the bye week and is considered out for the time being., who can also play left tackle when needed

Thomas,Womens Mike Alstott Jersey, who is likely on his way to the Pro Football Hall of Fame,262 consecutive snaps on offense. A consistently elite performer,Womens Jameis Winston Jersey, has played 11 seasons and a total of 10, the left tackle has been selected for the Pro Bowl every season since entering the NFL in 2007 and is a seven-time First Team All Pro selection.

He is one of two NFL tackles, who has not allowed a sack in over 200 pass-rushing snaps., the other being Seahawks right tackle Germain Ifedi

Of course,Womens Doug Martin Jersey, the odds don’t look too favorable for the Seahawks., a Thomas trade is all speculation until the Browns decide to make a move. And considering Cleveland has no replacement for Thomas

Richard Sherman reacts as Aaron Rodgers injures shoulder in game vs. Vikings

It’s a bye week for the Seattle Seahawks, which means on Sunday,Authentic Cliff Avril Jersey, players are sitting around the television just like us watching football.,Womens T.J. Ward Jersey

Sherman,Authentic Mike Alstott Jersey, who watched the incident unfold, took to Twitter to send Rodgers well-wishes.,Womens Nick Folk Jersey

“Damn I hope Aaron Rodgers is OK,” Sherman said in the post. “The league is better when he’s healthy. Praying for you.”

The Seahawks and Packers aren’t exactly friendly rivals on the field,Authentic Jameis Winston Jersey, but Sherman can certainly appreciate Rodgers’ greatness and what he brings to the NFL.

Re: LES CHAINES ÉNERGÉTIQUES ET L'ENSEIGNEMENT

Eagles' Ronald Darby: Allegations against Jameis Winston 'not true'

Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston found himself in the news this week when allegations were made that he groped an Uber driver in 2016. While the incident is under investigation, more light may have been shed on what happened.

a college teammate of Winston’s,Eagles cornerback Ronald Darby,Womens Trey Burton Jersey, March 13, released a statement saying he was with Winston on the night of the alleged incident, 2016. Darby denied any kind of misconduct by anyone in the car.

“If felt the need to come forward and clarify some inaccurate accounts of the evening of March 13, a friend and Jameis Winston took an Uber ride in Arizona. There were three of us in the car,Womens Terry Bradshaw Jersey, 2016 when myself, not just one as has been reported. Myself and Jameis were in the backseat. I am confident that nothing inappropriate in nature happened in the car that evening and Jameis did not have any physical contact with the Uber driver. The accusations are just not true.”

The Uber driver contended that Winston was in the front seat with her. As a result of the allegations, Uber deactivated Winston’s account with the company.

Winston has not been charged with any crime nor been sued,Womens Jerome Bettis Jersey, as of yet, by the driver. The NFL is investigating the incident.

Winston released a statement on Friday pertaining to the Uber allegations. It read:

The Philadelphia Eagles are flying high with the NFL's best record at 8-1, the team's best start since the 2004 season (the last time the Eagles made the Super Bowl).

Philadelphia also has a three-game lead over the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC East. A win over the Cowboys Sunday gives the Eagles a four-game lead with six to play.

We have simulated the Eagles playing every other team under 'Super Bowl conditions' (neutral field in February) and they won an impressive 65.3% of the time (#4 in the league). They have moved up from #18 in the league back on 9/7. The Eagles are averaging 31.4 points per game which is +7.1 more than expected in their 9 games. Their defense is allowing 19.9 ppg, 30-17 vs WAS) where they won as underdogs or won by a lot when only slightly favored.,Womens Jack Lambert Jersey, which is under their 21.2 expectation. When your offense and defense both exceed expectations, it is not a surprise at 8-1 the Eagles are exceeding their win-loss expectations. Based on their season futures line, the Eagles were expected to have 4.5 wins at this point in the season. If you add up their money line implied probability of winning each game they were expected to have 5.4 wins. They have 3 impressive wins (26-24 vs LAC, 28-23 vs CAR

and their chances of winning 3 or more over this stretch is 45%. The Fatigue Index factors for travel (miles,Authentic Ben Roethlisberger Jersey,The Philadelphia Eagles short term outlook is good. The most likely scenario over the next 4 games is a 2-2 record (a 40% chance), the Eagles are playing 5 games, time zones crossed) and games played. Based on this index the Eagles are the 14th most fatigued team heading into the next game. Their playoff chances do not change much based on the outcome of their next game. A win results in them being a virtual lock to make the playoffs and a loss drops that to 98%. Over the next month, traveling 10941 miles crossing 13 time zones. They rank #3 on the Fatigue Index during this time period.

The Eagles are championship contenders and their chances are clearly on the rise. In our pre-season forecast they had a 1.2% chance of winning it all. On 9/21 they had a 2.2% chance before increasing to 17% on 11/7. From the start of the season to now their chances are up significantly to 16%. They are basically a lock to win the division at 96.5%. Oddsmakers have them at 0/1 which has an implied probability of 100%. Based on the odds, they have a 30.8% chance of winning the NFC (9/4) and a 16.7% chance of winning it all (5/1). In simulations they make the Super Bowl 31.9% of the time.

With 6 must starters and 2 other players who should be owned in most fantasy leagues the Eagles are the #3 best team in terms of helping fantasy owners win games. Based on rest of season projections, these are the 3 most valuable fantasy players based on their projected position rank.

Mitch Trubisky didn’t flinch or say a word on the sideline in the decisive moment Sunday. As Connor Barth’s 46-yard field-goal attempt flew way right of the target,Authentic Antonio Brown Jersey, the rookie quarterback’s blank expression told a familiar story.

Another close game. Another close defeat.

Trubisky has been here for only 10 games, but Sunday’s script was the same as it has been throughout coach John Fox’s tenure. Only the details changed. This time it was a 27-24 defeat to the Lions that dropped the Bears to 3-7.

They are now 2-5 this season in games decided by 8 or fewer points and 8-18 in such games in Fox’s three seasons.

“We have lulls. We have siestas,” Fox said. “We just don’t do it for 60 minutes. And I think we’re not good enough. Nobody is good enough to overcome that."

Trubisky still has a rookie’s zeal, not yet beaten down by all the oh-so-close disappointments of the last three seasons.

“If we just continue to buy in, execution, just do the little things, we’ll be all right, and just keep rolling, for sure.”,” the quarterback said. “We’ve just got to finish. Good teams find a way to close those out. We’re going to work toward that, and we’re going to figure it out

But this season already has gotten away from them.

The bad news: The offense accounted for a season-high 24 points and limited its self-inflicted wounds, but still there were too many breakdowns in all three phases.

The Bears led 10-0 early in the second quarter when one of Trubisky’s rookie bugaboos bit him. He fumbled a snap from under center, and Lions cornerback D.J. Hayden returned it 27 yards for a touchdown.

“I just didn't secure the snap,” Trubisky said. “It was on me. That's unacceptable. That can't happen."

On defense, and Stafford managed to find windows. He completed 21 of 31 passes for 299 yards and two touchdowns, the Bears didn’t disrupt Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford enough. They consistently dropped seven or eight defenders in coverage, good for a passer rating of 120.2.

Linebacker Christian Jones, who had one of the Bears’ three sacks, compared Stafford to Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers because of their mobility.

“He did a good job of avoiding pressure,” Jones said. “The pass rush was there, he’s just so good at getting outside the pocket. He extended plays.”

The good news: Rookies helped fuel the offensive outburst. Tight end Adam Shaheen (four catches, 41 yards) caught a 1-yard dart in the end zone in the first quarter. Trubisky placed it beyond the reach of Paul Worrilow where only Shaheen could catch it.

“We thought we saw we saw something on film, and it turned out it was the right call,Womens Le'Veon Bell Jersey,” Shaheen said. “He threw a great ball.”

Running back Tarik Cohen (59 total yards on 13 touches) had a 15-yard touchdown run to tie the game with 5 minutes, 2 seconds remaining. He dove for the pylon and soared over the corner of the end zone.

“I felt like I had a 44-inch vert,” Cohen cracked.

Trubisky completed 60 percent of his passes, tying the season-high he set last Sunday against the Packers. He was 18-of-30 for 179 yards and was sacked only once after averaging 3.8 sacks per game over the previous four.

Jordan Howard added 125 rushing yards and a touchdown.

Extra point: Trubisky’s 19-yard scramble on fourth-and-13 kept the game alive and helped set up Barth’s attempt to tie it. Barth was perfect from 45, 44 and 49 yards in the cold rain against the Packers but he didn’t come close to connecting in the final seconds Sunday.

“I hit the ground a little bit,Authentic Terry Bradshaw Jersey, left it right,” he said.

Up next: Only three teams (Browns, 49ers and Giants) have fewer wins than the Bears,Authentic Jerome Bettis Jersey, and there’s no immediate relief. The Bears take their three-game losing streak to Philadelphia on Sunday. The Eagles entered Sunday night’s road game against the Cowboys with the NFL’s best record at 8-1. They’ll face former Bears receiver Alshon Jeffery.

There won't be any sympathy coming from the Eagles or their fans about the fact that running back Ezekiel Elliott and linebacker Sean Lee aren't playing, or that left tackle Tyron Smith most likely won't.

There certainly wasn't any last Sunday when the Atlanta Falcons sacked Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott eight times while pummeling Dallas 27-7. If anything, Eagles fans would like to see Prescott sacked more often than that this Sunday night when the two teams play.

Sure, all of this rivalry talk between the Eagles and Cowboys tends to be overblown a bit. After all,Womens Ben Roethlisberger Jersey,Authentic Jack Lambert Jersey, a team shouldn't get up more for a particular opponent than any other on its schedule.

But that has never been the case with the Eagles with regards to the Cowboys. Head coach Doug Pederson remembers this back in 1999 in his only season as the Eagles' quarterback. The Eagles were a bad team, about to go 5-11 in Andy Reid's first season as head coach.

But Pederson "led" the Eagles to a 13-10 win over the Cowboys in the first meeting, on Oct. 10. The term "led" is used loosely because Pederson went 11-for-29 for 145 yards that day. It was hardly the stuff of NFL legend.

To Eagles fans,Womens Antonio Brown Jersey, though, it was a thing of beauty.

"It was like you just [say], it's big for the city. It's big for our team heading in the right direction. And that's what we're focused on doing this week.", ‘I don't care what else happens the rest of the year,Authentic Le'Veon Bell Jersey, you just have to beat the Cowboys,’" Pederson said. "That's the mindset of the city... If you do win the football game, obviously the city of Philadelphia

Eagles right tackle Lane Johnson can relate. He grew up in Groveton, about three hours from Dallas. Johnson was home during the NFL playoffs last season - the Cowboys made the playoffs, Texas, the Eagles did not - and heard his grandmother cheering for the Cowboys.

How did the 6-foot-6, 317-pound right tackle react?

"I told her to shut her ass up,” Johnson said.

"We had opportunities in that game to make some plays and change the outcome of that game," Pederson said. "And I learned from the decisions I made in that game. And I've corrected those this season from preseason on. And those are some of the takeaways. And for us as a football team, we're learning how to finish those games now this season. And that's a tribute to the players in the locker room."

The situation last season was similar to what the two teams face this season - only reversed. It was the Cowboys who were leading, with a 5-1 record going into the game. It was basically the Eagles' last chance to stay in the race as they were 4-2 heading into the game.

Portland has a win streak going in the Thanksgiving game. The Bulldogs have won the last four straight.

The Blue Devils’ top two scorers return in sophomore Zach Rasile and senior Braedon Poole. Rasile made more three-pointers last season (140) than anyone has ever made in the history of OHSAA basketball in a single season. Rasile finished this past winter by averaging 20.3 points, 6.8 boards and 2.4 steals as a junior. Poole also made 59.0% of his shots from the floor (184-312), dishing out 3.4 assists, 36.4% from three-point land (12-33) and 69.7% from the charity stripe (83-119). Junior Josh Celli also will be back after putting together a strong sophomore campaign where he scored 3.1 points, stole 2 balls from opposing players per game and shot 57.6% from the field (34-59). Also returning are senior letter winners – Rico Rodriguez and Matthew Beedle., connecting on 45.2% from long range and 83.1% from the foul line (49-59). All of this was done as a freshman. Poole returns after averaging 17.8 points, hauled down 3.9 rebounds

Coach Jeff Rasile tackles two key strengths – tradition and continuity – for his team’s success. “Probably our biggest advantage over most teams is that our players have grown up in a program that has been fortunate to win a lot of games and play in a lot of big games. Our teams and players expect to win and typically work hard to continue that success. Our players have run the same system since middle school and have all had success within this system over the course of their careers.”

A core group of last season’s successful campaign has since graduated. Joey Ragazzine (15.3 ppg), 3.3 assists and 2.9 steals per game. Magill shattered the single season assist record (197) at McDonald while also garnering the most assists in a single game (17). Evan led the team in rebounding (8.6), Dylan Portolese (14.4 ppg), assists (7.3) and steals (2.9). Emerson was a key contributor as well as he connected on 44 of 125 three-point attempts (35.2%) and closed out the season with a 1.7 steal per game average. Coach Rasile points to lack of experienced depth as being a concern entering the 2017-18 season. “Several players, are going to have to step up if we are going to compete for league and district championships this year.”, Evan Magill (9.2 ppg) and Caleb Emerson (7.4 ppg) have all graduated. Ragazzine led the team in free throw percentage (86.0%) while he finished second on three-point shooting (37.8%). Portolese accumulated top honors for field goal percentage (60.3%) while compiling a stat line of 6.6 rebounds, without much varsity experience

it should.,Trotwood (13-0) will play Toledo Central Catholic (11-2) in a Division III high school state semifinal at Piqua Alexander Stadium on Friday. If this matchup sounds familiar

Joining Trotwood in Friday’s Week 14 state semis are area teams Clinton-Massie (D-IV), Marion Local (D-VI) and Minster (D-VII). All the games will start at 7:30 p.m. at neutral sites. The winners advance to next week’s state championships at Canton’s new Tom Benton Hall of Fame Stadium in Stark County., Middletown Madison (D-V)

Trotwood and TCC are state final roadblocks to each other. This is the fourth consecutive season the teams have been paired in a state semifinal. Their first matchup in this relatively recent sizzling series was in a 2012 state final.

which evolved in 2011 following a merger of Toledo City League teams.,The Fighting Irish are members of the Three Rivers Athletic Conference in Lucas County

More noteworthy, there was a stinging 16-12 defeat of Trotwood in the 2012 D-II state final. That was one of four straight state title games Trotwood played in under former coach Maurice Douglass., TCC had owned Trotwood. First

There would be more postseason heartache for the Rams. In the 2014 season, 21-13., TCC hung a 17-14 loss on Trotwood in a D-III state semi. Central Catholic won a state title that season. Trotwood also lost to TCC the next season in another D-III state semi

But the playoff luck of the Fighting Irish vs. the Rams ran out in 2016. Undefeated TCC appeared to have its best team yet and had Mr. Football Michael Warren in the backfield. He would de-commit to the University of Toledo and now is getting reps as a freshman at Cincinnati.

Trotwood limited Warren to 18 yards on 15 carries. How dominant was Trotwood’s defense? How about one first down and 40 yards of total offense for TCC. That added up to a resounding – and unlikely - 36-0 defensive gem by the Rams. Shutting down Warren was significant,Authentic KeiVarae Russell Jersey,619 yards)., because he ended his career as Ohio’s fifth all-time leading rusher (7

All that defensive momentum came crashing to a halt the following week for Trotwood. Akron Archbishop Hoban landed an equally impressive 30-0 blanking of Trotwood in the D-III state final at Columbus.

That loss hiked up Trotwood’s offseason demeanor. Trotwood has had just three close games and none in three playoff wins, Dunbar and most recently Chaminade Julienne 44-14 last week. This will be the eighth consecutive state semi contest for Trotwood., overwhelming Elida

Here’s five other things to know about the football playoffs:

Midwest Athletic Conference members Marion Local (13-0) and Minster (9-4) both knocked out MAC rivals in last week’s regional finals. Marion Local eliminated Coldwater 33-0 and Minster did the same to Delphos St. John’s

they insist.,A red-button theory among MAC fans is the Ohio High School Athletic Association intended to break up the conference’s recent surge in state title appearances with its competitive balance initiative that began this fall. Pairing Marion Local and Coldwater in D-VI was proof

“It’s out of our control, but we had an idea we were going to have to go through them if we were going to get to where we want to go.”,” Marion Local coach Tim Goodwin said after beating Coldwater. “No one at the OHSAA was scheming and trying to manipulate numbers or anything like that. It just happened. Once we saw this last spring we knew it was going to come down to Coldwater and Marion Local. We didn’t know what week

There are 11 unbeaten teams remaining in the playoffs and three 13-0 matchups on Friday. The most unlikely is Steubenville vs. Shelby in a D-IV state semi at Akron. It’ll be the 18th state semi for Steubenville and the first for Shelby. That winner gets the Clinton-Massie (12-1) vs. New Concord John Glenn (11-2) winner in the D-IV title game.

Spectrum will televise two live games on Friday: Colerain (11-2) vs. Pickerington Central (12-1) in a D-I state semi at Springfield’s Evans Stadium (Ch. 314) and Cincinnati Winton Woods (12-1) vs. Massillon Washington (10-3) in D-II at Columbus DeSales (Ch. 311).

No sooner had the Rams lost to the Vikings on Sunday when they already started talking about a possible rematch.

as things stand today there’s a good  chance the Vikings would host the Rams in the second round of the NFC playoffs. With six games remaining — including Sunday at home against the Saints,It’s totally within the realm of possibility, of course. In fact, the Rams should be fine for a postseason berth by going 3-3., Seattle and Tennessee and the Eagles and 49ers at the Coliseum,Authentic Todd Gurley II Jersey, trips to Arizona

that looks doable.,From where we sit today

Still, should a postseason rematch comes to fruition., a lot of work remains if the Rams hope to flip the script against Minnesota

Sunday’s to the Vikings is the one that looked most like a loss against a better team.,Of the Rams’ three losses this year

That might not be the case on a week-to-week basis but, the Vikings are just as good as the Rams and they were clearly the superior team on Sunday., at the very least

“It’s one game and now we have an opportunity to look at ourselves and see what we can do to respond, I love the way our team and our coaching staff has responded.”,Womens Steven Nelson Jersey,” Rams coach Sean McVay said.  “So far this year when we have faced that adversity

Nevertheless, here are some issues the Rams need to focus on down the stretch:

but the run defense has been erratic for some time. It hasn’t been a big issue, especially with the way opponents had to revert to the pass when falling behind,It’s pretty much been glossed over given the way the Rams offense was waylaying people before Sunday, but it reared its ugly head on Sunday in a big way.

The Vikings ran for 171 yards, including 95 yards and two touchdowns by Latavius Murray.

they are going to run into a team like the Vikings that can slow them down defensively, fifth worst in the NFL. And while they can sometimes mitigate that simply by overpowering people offensively, at some point,The Rams are giving up 123.3 yards per game on the ground, get a lead and then turn to the run to play keep away.

The Vikings ran 73 plays to the Rams 56, and had possession of the ball nearly 15 minutes longer.

In some ways the Vikings provided the rest of the NFL a blueprint on how to offset the Rams offense. They did it by overpowering every Rams defensive linemen — outside of Aaron Donald — at the points of attacks to continually create positive downhill runs.

The good news is Kupp is a third-round rookie wide receiver who has massively outplayed his draft status to become one of the top two first-year wide receivers in the game.

The bad news is he still a rookie wide receiver prone to having rookie moments. And considering how much the Rams lean on him (he’s earned every bit of that trust) they simply have to live with the youthful transgressions that might result.

who stripped the ball from behind as Kupp was going to the ground, than a bad one by Kupp,Womens Aaron Donald Jersey, He had a critical second-quarter fumble inside the Vikings 1-yard line as the Rams were about to take a 14-7 lead. It was more of a great play by Vikings safety Anthony Harris, but in a tight games against a quality opponent Kupp has to be more secure with the ball.

He also dropped what would have been a first-down completion, costing the Rams at least three points in the second half.

“Obviously there are plays that I want back and plays I wish I would have made,” Kupp said. “I think we’re a better team than what we were. I think I’m a better player than what I showed out there.”

but we’re at a stage in the season when anything less than perfection could have disastrous ramifications. That’s a lot of pressure to put on a rookie,Kupp has earned his playing time and the big-time role in the passing game, but it comes with the job. Focus will be the key.

and it clearly had an effect on the Rams offense,The crowd and atmosphere at U.S. Bank Stadium is as loud and intense as any in the NFL, which continually seemed out of sorts at the line of scrimmage.
